Quiet and Peaceful Getaway

The Mountain Queen cabin was perfect for a quiet and peaceful stay. We loved just sitting on the porch listening to the birds and it was also conveniently located for visiting several of the beautiful state parks in the area.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mountain Queen. Our host Eshay was very welcoming, the log cabin is clean and comfortable, with a nice kitchen space to cook together. This trip was a wonderful opportunity to get out of the city, see the stars, hear the frogs and crickets, go hiking, and sleep in comfort.

Accurate Listing and beautiful area!

The owner is fabulous and the cabin is immaculate!! Everything that everyone has reviewed about the cabin is absolutely true! From the cleanliness to ease of check-in to the amazing views. I would definitely recommend this owner and cabin for future getaways.

Comfortable and spectacular views

Eshay, cabin owner greets you personally upon arrival and shows you the important features you need to know. She also is available and fixes anything needed immediately. Our stay was a great and enjoyable experience!

Relaxing retreat

I’m grateful to Eshay for allowing us to stay at her lovely cabin. We had such a great and relaxing time. It has everything you need to stay for a while and it’s in a beautiful quiet location. Eshay is a very hospitable host. The hot tub and fire pit were great and we even caught some incredible lightning while we were there. It was delightful.

The property was clean. All amenities for a short weekend were available. Plus or minus of stay was that it was about 20 minutes from the city but we already knew it. Overall it was a pleasant stay

Lovely experience!

This property is everything that was promised. Pristine location surrounded by fields and woods filled with birds and flowers and wildlife. The house is rustic but appealing. Clean, with all necessary amenities, and a healthy dose of charm. Recommended!

Check-in was very helpful and clear. There is even a binder with all the information for reference, which was very helpful. Eshay keeps you updated on any changes or things you need to know. The cabin is very spacious and cozy. It was nice to be close to nature but still have the comforts. The area is quiet and beautiful. We had a lovely time.

lovely weekend

The house was very clean & welcoming. Living area was compact but comfortable & had everything we needed. The loft is spacious, and there's a table up there for puzzles & games. It's open to the living space, but there's a curtain for privacy. We enjoyed exploring the walking trails. Remote location but only about 20 min to Ithaca. Wish we had more time!

Our host set expectations well and truly. Clean! Everything you need. AC super. Plenty hot water. Quality linens. Comfy beds. Quiet wooded setting. Only sounds were the birds. Everything you need for multi day stay, dishes, dishwasher. Close to Dryden (12 minute drive) coffeeshops and groceries.

Mountain Queen Cabin

Eshay’s cabin in the midst of Hammond State Forest was perfect for our anniversary getaway. It had all the amenities we wanted, along with a rustic vibe which we loved. The front porch was delightful with the morning sunrise and the evening moonrise, plus sweeping views of the forested mountains. It is a very peaceful setting with no traffic or people noise, only birds singing and the rustling of tree leaves in the breeze. There is also a nature preserve trail and a multitude of hiking/biking trails within walking distance of the cabin which we enjoyed. I would definitely stay at The Mountain Queen again. Thanks Eshay!
