Load the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights
- Load the dishwasher
- Dispose of any leftover food from the fridge
- Collect trash. All trash bags can be left in the back of the red Mule in the garage.
- Log out of any streaming services
- Place used towels in a pile in each bathroom
- Dispose of personal toiletries
- Make sure the studio garage door is closed
- Put the cover on the hot tub
- Turn off the TV, lights, and any electronics.
- Make sure doors are closed (they do not need to be locked).
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Hi there! My name is Beth and my family and I are excited to host what we hope becomes your favorite home away from home at Tranquil Acres. I grew up in this home and now live in Overland Park, KS with my husband, Zac, our two sets of twins (8,8,11,11) and standard poodle, Foster. As someone who frequents rental properties, I know first-hand what it takes to enjoy a space and couldn't be more thrilled to share this special property with others.
Why they chose this property
This is a beautiful property on 25 acres, nestled down the lane in quiet and private woods.
You and your family can comfortably run throughout the property, enjoying our basketball goal, disc golf baskets, roller skates (they won't hurt our unfinished slate floors in the house!), private trail in the woods, hot tub, and multiple living spaces. This was a dream home to grow up in and is fun for all ages!

There are so many unique spaces at this property!
Outside you can walk the private trail in the woods, soak in the hot tub, put a fire in the custom crafted outdoor fireplace, or enjoy one of the many sitting areas on our front and back decks.
Inside we have various living spaces including our main living area that features a beautiful floor to ceiling custom wood-burning fireplace in an open concept living/dining area. The basement is a walk-out basement with a fun entertainment area and extra couch and recliner for added comfort. The primary suite that is wheelchair accessible. It has a private living space that includes two recliners; one is a lift-assist. Upstairs, we have two bedrooms, each with their own private sitting area. Our grandma's suite above the garage is a beautifully lit room with its own private walk-out deck.
Inside/Outside - You have got to see our studio!! The studio was an addition to the property about 10 years ago and it has quickly become our favorite spot to gather. It was built as a workshop for my dad, who after retiring was immediately drawn to the art of woodworking. His walking sticks are on the wall in the studio and are available for sale! Just talk to the host.
