In 1989, I arrived in Seattle, sight unseen, from Ft. Lauderdale. Looking for something different, a place where the sun doesn't always shine, where arts and diversity is alive. When i arrived I knew I was home, and that was 27 year ago. I am a teacher of 27 years, with my last five years as librarian at Queen Anne Elementary, where my daughter is in fourth grade.
Why they chose this property
Last year my husband of 22 years died, leaving our seven yr old daughter and a great life filled with world travel and adventure. When Andrew passed, my daughter and I lost huge income. We decided to renovate our home and create a vacation rental - we added another floor and a private guest suite below. The house we built was inspired by all our travels on land and on ships. We hope we thought of everything so that your Queen Anne stay is five stars.
What makes this property unique
The house is located on a quiet street, minutes Queen Anne Ave, downtown, Ballard. City transportation outside the front door, Uber usually within 3-5 minutes. The house was built for large gatherings to cook, eat and enjoy time together. The private Guest Suite below provides a space for privacy away from the main house.
Every detail has been thought of for our guests to enjoy and feel pampered. After each guest stay, my team of cleaners makes sure the all beds, towels, and robes have been cleaned. My house manager does a final walk-through prior to guests arriving to make sure everything is perfectly in its place as I have instructed.
