He hired an architect to design the house which features open spaces, a high living room ceiling, a playroom with a slide, and many other great features. The house was perfect for what we needed. The living space was roomy enough for all of us to hang out together and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals together. It was close to family, church, food and shopping. We didn't really use the playroom as we don't have any littles yet, but it looked like it would be amazing if we did. Thanks!!

The home was great for our family! However I thought we would be able to walk to the lake and to the harbor but it is a gated commuity so we couldn't. Overall it was a good place to stay.

UNIQUE EARLY MODERN VIBE LOVE

Best host I have ever had the pleasure to rent from first and foremost!!! THANK YOU!!The house was unique, like no other!! Fun and open space! Had absolutely everything you could need, from a snack cart, with popcorn, to game ......just cool!! This is one I WILL be back too!!!!

Rockwall Tx Gated Home

The 5 bedrooms and 8 beds was great for my family of 6.A master bed and bath. And another bedroom with a master type bed. The young adults and child loved the ping pong room. They were a little disappointed the air hockey did not work. And since it was a gated community it was a long drive (1 mile) from the gate for visitors but it was nice to have a closer exist (1/2 mile). I will definitely check on it's availability next time I'm in town with a large family or friends.

My stay at this property was absolutely wonderful! The homeowner was incredibly kind and welcoming, providing everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. She was very responsive and communicated all the details clearly, which made the check-in process easy. Anytime I had a question, she was quick to help and make sure we had everything we needed.The house itself is fantastic. It was spotlessly/clean, well-maintained, and full of character. It’s clear that a lot of care has been put into making this space both comfortable and fun for guests. The unique layout offers plenty of space and has various rooms and features that make it perfect for groups with different interests. Whether you’re looking to relax, socialize, or explore, this house has something for everyone.The location is also ideal with just a short distance from the lake, and close to all the great things Rockwall has to offer. Whether you're into outdoor activities or checking out local shops and restaurants, everything is just minutes away.I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a memorable stay with fantastic hosts!

Fun House - Just Needs A Few Repairs

This home is unique and has something for adults, teens and especially kids! We had a few issues - air hockey table was not working, broken blind in a toilet room,, faulty jets in tub, broken trash compactor, the cleaning crew did not dry the towels before they were folded and put on shelves, so all towels had to be washed and dried before they could be used. The home did however, have enough beds and rooms for our family, and our grandkids loved the loft area. The owner was quick to respond to my messages, but did not consider the issues important. Here is the Owner's response to bringing issues in the home to her attention - "The home is 31 years old and has been totally renovated twice. Homes always need maintenance and I keep mine well maintained. All of the items you brought up are minor and are easily remedied. I’m sorry that you were not satisfied."I hope the owner is able to address the issues we had before renting the home to another family.

Not comfortable

First, directions to the house led us to a gate that was not an accessible entrance for visitors. Response from property owner was late and after we found a security booth. The property is a reminder of the Brady Bunch era. There is no full bathroom on 1st floor, but there is a urinal which is not needed for this type of stay. Of the 5 bedrooms only one of the beds was comfortable. Three of the bedrooms had a 3 inch foam mattress and 3 in fake box spring on slatted base the majority of these slats were worped and needs repair. The masterbedroom bed sunk in as if it was also on broken slats. We did not attempt to lift up the mattress as we did on the other beds. The master restroom was difficult to step in and close the door. Access to the back yard was through the garage verus through the house. Our only night upon returning from our event we went to there was a car parked in the driveway that gave us all a sense of safety concerns. Luckily we had a grown man with us that went into the house and made a sweep of the premises to ensure there was no one else in the house. We attempted to reach out to the owner, this time no reply. We had lots of hesitation to sleep because of the car situation and also, a crew that came to pick up a bouncy house in the backyard hit a brown trash can and caused trash to fly everywhere. Not sure if it was this house property trash can or nextdoor. Also appeared the neighbors next door were having a gathering of some kind. Uncomfortable s

We love Rockwall and Chandlers Landing and decided this is where we would build our dreamhouse in 1994. My husband Sandy Petersen is a world-renowned game designer and we built this home to accommodate us, our five children, and lots of collections--books, boardgames, role-playing games, movies, and miniature figures.

Our home is unique because it was designed by a contemporary architect. We lived there for 30 years where we made many happy memories.
