From the decks of the 'Flip Flop Inn' you will enjoy the outstanding views and roaring surf of the Atlantic ocean as well as the gorgeous sunsets over Jockey's Ridge. Our beach cottage is well appointed with stylish and comfortable furnishings, three master suites, plenty of deck furniture on the covered and sun decks and a large variety of games, puzzles and books for family time. The well equipped kitchen will satisfy even gourmet cooks. You will also find a high chair and Pack'n'Play. Watch unforgettable sunsets over Jockey's Ridge. Kick off your flip flops in the game room while shooting a game of pool the billiards table or soak up the sun by the private pool. Maybe cap off a fun filled day at the beach with a relaxing soak in the hot tub.

Great Views from this Outer Banks home, fronting the Beach Road in Nags Head. Direct beach access is only 100 yards away! (Guest will cross the 2 lane Beach Road to access the ocean). 10' x 20' private pool, hot tub, rec room with pool table and wet bar. 2 refrigerators, WiFi, TVs, DVDs, outside there is a charcoal grill and an outside shower. Excellent views of both the ocean and Jockeys Ridge.

No pets allowed. No smoking/vaping. Please refer to the Rental Agreement while reviewing Rules & Policies for pool opening/closing dates.

Great stay

Loved our stay at Flip Flop - great location for our teens to access ice cream shops and beach. Well appointed kitchen with plenty of serveware. Would only recommend some bath mats- or bring your own!

Cold quick getaway

I stayed with my teen and adult children. It’s very spacious. It needed new carpet and a deep clean but overall was clean. Too cold to enjoy amenities but the pool and hot tub would be great in warmer weather! Everything you need to make a meal. We look forward to coming back!

Nice vacation house

Good for the price. Plenty of room for the 6 of us that were there. We played pool, used the hot tub, did some cooking. Only issues I can think of are that dishwasher wasn't usuable because of a moldy smell, the blender needs replaced, and need some plastic wear like spatulas. A couple new pool sticks would nice also. The wifi wasn't working when we got there, but after turning it off and back on, it worked.

Great stay!

The house was wonderful - large bedrooms, plenty of space in the common areas, and really a plus to have linens taken care of. Very close walk to the beach and short drive to lots of amenities. The only downside was the beach access is where vehicles can drive on and we were almost hit by a careless driver. And traffic overall was pretty loud. That said, we really enjoyed everything about the house itself!

Great beach house for our family of 4 with more than enough room for everyone. Very nicely located just a couple of blocks from the beach. Many amenities throughout the house as well and centrally located between Kill Devil Hills and Manteo. Would definitely recommend to others if looking for a stay in the area.

Location location location. The house is well maintained with many conveniences: big kitchen, and mini kitchen, pool and hot tub, two decks with ocean view or Jockey's Ridge view. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets right off your deck(s). Only (minor) negative- The outside nails on the blue and white siding are ALL RUSTY, but it did not impact our stay. We enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Flip Flop Inn so much we are considering renting again for our 2018 vacation... everything you need is a short walk from cottage...from beach access to convenience store.... the cottage itself is well stocked and clean... the added bonus is a clean fiberglass pool (no sore feet from older style pool)...Village Realty was the BEST realty we have used (20+ yrs) from the ease of check-in to check-out we were impressed... customer service is there utmost concern... we thank you for making our 2017 vacation the best

My family stayed at the Flip Flop Inn March 26, 2016 Easter weekend. The property was very clean and the bedroom accommodations were very suitable for my family. We enjoyed the hot tub and grill area and also the recreation room. I would highly recommend Village Realty and the Flip Flop Inn.

March 2015 Stay

We were first timers in the OBX and were not disappointed. What a great first beach house this was. The location was great the weather was cool but fair. On the too cool for the beach days we traveled to the aquarium and local shops. The aquarium was quaint and perfect we loved the turtle rehab and rescue center!! The teens rented bikes to travel independently to shops and cafes etc. The store next door and austins seafood were an added convenience and saw someone from my family almost daily. The wind took a bit of getting used to. Village realty was perfect starting with an arrival tex And ending with checking out via the mobile app. Any staff i encountered were friendly and helpful! We found the OBX locals to be extremely friendly and great to chat with to learn about the area and beach life!! Thanks for the great visit and adorable beach house!! See you next year!!
