We so enjoyed our stay here! The house was clean, smelled fresh, and had everything that we needed.
Our family had a wonderful experience and it was close to/a short drive to popular destinations (downtown Holland, boat rental, state beach park, etc.) We would stay here again!

We had the perfect stay at the cozy & charming Skylight Cottage. Well-appointed kitchen, easy location, and the lakefront sunsets can't be beat. Quiet, pristine beach and tons of beach toys available to use. I loved being able to share the lake cottage experience with my children, and we already can't wait to return.

Thank you for the wonderful review, Rachel! We are so glad to hear you enjoyed the home and the beach. Sounds like some great memories were made on this trip!
We have rented this property several times and love it. It could use a bit of mantainace and a dusting. The sinks fill with muck when the dishwasher was on.
Loved everything about our stay at Skylight. What an amazing place and I was hoping to rent it again this fall. But sadly it looks like it is booked. There is no down side to staying at this gem that is close to town on a private beach.

Hello Julie. Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to share your experience at Skylight cottage. We are so happy that you enjoyed your time with us and hope to host you again if you are in the area!
We loved the location of this property and spent every evening watching the sunset while eating our dinner.
The cottage was “vintage” which we knew from the photos. The shower was small but all of the other amenities were fine. Great location near Holland State Park and Windmill Gardens.
The house is vintage but the location can't be beat. It served us well, but we are low maintenance. There is only one shower and one TV, but the private beach more than made up for any shortcomings of the house. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

This was like stepping back into the 1960s. What a cool and unique cottage. Our family enjoyed our stay and made great memories. Halfway between Holland and Grand Haven. This cottage was very clean and well maintained. We would definitely come back.

Thank you for the nice review, Rob! So glad you enjoyed the home and your stay; we would love to have you back!
The only thing I want to criticize is the listing of two full baths. The master bathtub was tiny and did not have a shower. I think it would be a better description as a half bath. Otherwise it was great!
We had a lovely week and enjoyed the “retro” cottage. Driving in on the long wooded driveway was like taking a deep breath, and close proximity to the trails along Lakeshore Ave was terrific. Location was great, we loved eating dinner on the screened porch with lake views. The cabin could use some updates - pillows flat and uncomfortable, the sofa not very comfortable and not enough seating in the living room for everyone to watch a movie. The biggest issue is the miniature bathtub (noShower) in the bathroom in between the primary bedroom and the bunk room. The addition of / conversion to a shower seems like a worthwhile investment. Finally, only four flimsy plastic chairs were provided on the patio which we used at the beach as well. Adding some better patio furniture along with portable beach chairs is a suggestion.
