We wanted to stay somewhere that was able to accommodate all our family and be close to the locations we were here to visit. The location was perfect and the accommodations were comfortable and clean. Thank you for hosting us.
Great place to stay for a larger group. The house was cozy and located convenient to shopping and eateries up and down Camp Bowie. In the Master, the shower head was too low for normal height people and the bathroom needs an outlet near the sink. Water pressure, on the other hand, was pressure washer grade!Overall a great place in a great location.
We didn’t bring pets. The property worked for our needs and was fairly near the horse show grounds we were participating in. It worked well for our group. The steep/spiral staircase inside and outside stair access was challenging for older people to navigate and taking luggage up and down the stairs both indoors and out. Not having an outlet inside the master bathroom and no built in hairdryer was problematic for the individual staying in the master bedroom.
If I could give this home zero stars I would (Yes, it was that bad). We were a group of 6 adults and 3 children, including a baby. This review is coming from all the adults in our group. We booked a 2 week stay. As soon as we walked to the front door I could see the lack of care, concern and maintenance that is not performed on this home. We feel the photos are not an accurate representation of the home at all. Heavily edited. The home is dark, dingy and old. There was 1 extremely small TV for the entire home. The kitchen was not well stocked at all. There were no places to store our clothing (no dressers & about 5 hangers provided per closet). The home was dirty and the backyard clearly had not been touched in who knows how long. There was a massive tree branch on the roof. The patio furniture had clearly been eaten by rats. Our largest concern was the fact that NONE of the windows were operational in the entire home. They were sealed shut. This is illegal and against all fire codes. We could live with poor decor and a lack of amenities but the misrepresentation of the listing and the windows concerned us enough to reach out to the host and ask for a refund. He refused, stating a strict cancellation policy. We left within a few hours of checking in. I had to file a dispute with VRBO. DO NOT STAY HERE.
