This was a great location with very clean accommodations. There are lots of stairs, which was not a deterrent for us but may be problematic for others.
This chalet is nestled in the forest along a beautiful creek within a secluded, peaceful community! Listening to the creek running out front of the house while surrounded by the forest made for a truly special experience! It was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities! Thanks for a great stay!!
We absolutely loved staying here. The chalet was perfect for our family of 5 and it just as descibed. We loved the location. We visited Bass Lake and Yosemite.

Wesley - Awesome, thanks for staying with us and we're happy to know you got to explore both Bass Lake and Yosemite. Until next time...
Nicely decorated. Great location. Stairs a bit unsafe. Kitchen unorganized. All in all, it was a nice experience!

James — we really appreciate you staying with us. I’m glad you enjoyed the decor and location. Just to clarify for future guests, the stairs are standard, fully up to code, and are of course equipped with handrails. We’ll also take a look at the fully stocked kitchen setup to make sure everything’s as organized as possible. We do provide olive oil, spices, coffee, tea, sugar, and lots of pots, pans, and dishes to make sure guests have what they need to prep just about anything at the chalet.
We absolutely loved the house and location. 20 minutes from the Yosemite South Gate and 20 minutes from the city of Oakhurst. Bass Lake is also close by. There’s even a gorgeous trail called Lewis Creek just a 10 minutes walk away. The house is beautiful and fully stocked. It was perfect for our family of 4. The host is really responsive and accommodating. I will definitely recommend this house to all our friends and family.
This house is amazing! Very clean and makes you feel like you are at home. Just the sound of the creek running next to the road and the beauty of the forest around you. And the stars at night. Wow! Host is very quick to respond if needed. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice, quiet get away from everything. Not too far from town and close to the South entrance to Yosemite NP. The roads are so fun to drive!

Why they chose this property
Growing up in Southern California, I would spend 1-2 weeks at Yosemite every summer as a kid. It was never enough! Thirty years later, I bought this cabin to spend more time in the mountains with my own family and share the wonders of the Sierras with travelers from across the globe. I wanted to call it "The Flume Chalet" in honor of Sugar Pine's history as a logging town, but my daughter thought I said "Boom Chalet" and it stuck. Ultimately, it was the amazing swimming hole right out the front door that sold us on this particular slice of Sugar Pine paradise. Come and experience it for yourself!
