Downtown Disapointment

This property is in a good location and has the potential to be very cute. It has 3 bedrooms, although one has been turned into a living room, which is a bit odd. Being walking distance to the university, downtown and Japantown places it in an excellent location although the neighborhood is a bit sketchy.The problem was cleanliness and ameninities. When we arrived, the trash had not been emptied, someone's bracelet and loofah were in the shower, the floor was filthy and our shoes stuck to the floor. When we notified the owners, they offered to send the cleaning crew back out which we accepted since we would be away from the property for a few hours. All they did was empty the trash and remove the items from the shower. Later, we found crumbs on the kitchen table, spills on the kitchen counter not wiped up, food debris in the microwave and hairs on the pillows. The beds were not made up properly (fitted sheet and bedspread only with a blanket at the foot of the bed and throw pillows instead of regular sleeping pillows). There were no washcloths, no dishtowels or drying rack for dishes and four plates for a unit that sleeps 6.We contacted the owner regarding a partial refund due to the condition of the property but have yet to hear anything from them.

Great location and communication, but very dirty

I enjoyed my stay at this VRBO due to its proximity to downtown and easy of checking in. Parking was a bonus as well. However, I was severely disappointed when I booked what I thought would be a very nice place for my friends to stay, only for them to use the kitchen and bathroom before me and realize the entire place hadnt been cleaned. There were 4 of us and 3 beds which worked out great since 2 of us are a couple, but one of the beds had no horizontal slats on the bedframe, rendering it unusable. Luckily my guests helped me clean a bit and were okay sharing a bed, but it was not what I expected from this listing.
