We have been doing beach house rentals for many years and just added this amazing property.

Our Mexico beach house has Wi-Fi and is located in the South Campos of San Felipe approximately 20 miles south of the town of San Felipe in a gated enclave of custom beach front homes. Only a 2-1/2 hour drive south from the California border at Calexico/Mexicali.

Description: Solar powered Off Grid ECO beach front Villa living at its best.

The house sits on a premium 100ft wide beach front lot.

There is a house set up fee of $225 US Dollars paid at check in to the local property manger. It includes cleaning, linens, towels, propane and 1000 gallons of fresh water.

The house has an easy relaxed vibe with amazing views everywhere you look; from the amazing sunrise over the Sea of Cortez to the sunsets over the Desert Mountains to the star gazing at night.

We fell in love with this beach spot over 30 years ago and it was our dream to someday have a house here. We have had this house for 10 years and have decided to share this amazing place with guests.

If you are looking for an incredible visit to Baja, the real Baja where the sea of Cortez meets the desert this is the place. You will feel like you are a million miles from home and it’s only a 2-1/2 hour drive from the border.

The interior space:
The property has an amazing unique Mexican architecture with an arched veranda that wraps the entire front of the house. Sweeping beach and ocean views from every room. It features approximately 3000 square feet of comfortable living space with 2 beach front bedrooms each with king beds. Plus the house also has a loft and game room. The loft has one king bed and a twin bed and the game room has a double futon. The house has 2 full bathroom one on each side of the house.

The exterior space:
A covered beach front veranda surrounds the front of the house. This is a perfect place to hang out and relax. Plus there is also about 2000 square feet of outdoor patio space so you can easily sit in the sun or in the shade.

About our caretakers:
We are very fortunate to have wonderful caretakers to take care of our guests. The house will be opened up, cleaned and inspected prior to your arrival to ensure a great experience. We have had the same people taking care of this enclave of custom beach front homes for the past 10 years.

Life on the Beach!

We stayed during the heat wave, the sea was so pleasant, like bath water - spent our time between deck and swimming it was awesome. Love San Felipe, all the shops downtown and the restaurants!

We use to stay at a family beach house to the north of this house years ago. It was a wonderful nostalgic journey to stay and enjoy this house and the surroundings. Everything about the oroperty and stay was amazing. Hope to do it again. Thank you for sharing your house with us.

San Felipe in April, 2024

Being out of town for 31.5 km, this nice place has beatiful sunrises and at nights you can observe the stars...has a peaceful nature site and you can feel it the air...sounds and smell of the surrounding plants and animals. Is nice, a little higer in price after you add the cost for service, but is enjoyable. I would be back as soon as we can...we were 3 and the place is for 7, so next time we can split the cost and enjoy.

Beautiful house, right on the beach, which is very clean and pretty deserted, except for some quads and jeeps (WHO looks at a pristine beach and says to themselves, yes I should go roaring over the sand with a lot of noise and stink? Just wondering). Shells abound. The water tank was enough for our family of 6, being very frugal, for our stay of 7 days. Electricity was never a problem. Heater was nice at this time of year. The Queen bed in the loft was a bit hard, we were glad to have a topper in the van. Other beds were great and the rooms very nice. Kitchen had everything we needed. Really enjoyed San Felipe and Valle de Los Gigantes. Gorgeous stay!

Most relaxing Thanksgiving Vaca.

The views from this place, from the sunrise in the morning over the water to the gourgous sunsets over the desert in the evening from the balcony are priceless. The Home is set up for a big family, we bbq in the evening overlooking the tides. The house has alot of seating, many couches and chairs throughout. As long as you respect the electricity usage, turn off lights in rooms you're not using, we never had a problem with electricity. Never had to use the generator. Same with showers (water) had plenty of water left over after 6 days. Took the kayak out in the morning for some excellent views from the water, ran I to some seals, and dolphins. We'll definitely be back.

Great time at Joe’s place.

We stayed here for almost 2 months through Dec and January. We had a wonderful stay. Huge house, right on the beach with incredible sunrises and sunsets. You can walk the beach for miles in either direction, and its fun wandering through the tidal pools at low tide. Although its an off the grid house, we had no issues with power and water….You just can’t take those 20 minute showers. The bed was incredibly comfortable. (I was considering stuffing it in the van and taking it back to Canada!). The wifi works great, and is plenty fast. There’s no TV at the house; we bought a small one with us and used that in the evenings. I would highly recommend this property. Andy and Wendy Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Best beach house ever!

The property is in excellent condition. It's very roomy with 2 full bed/baths and a 3rd bedroom/loft upstairs. The kitchen is huge with everything you'll need. The fridge could be a little larger but still adequate. the covered patio facing the beach is huge and has plenty of chairs. The beach is mostly quiet with n occasional ATV/buggy going by. We rode ours all the way to Puertocitos, 30 miles away and had hot dogs and beer at Cowpaddys! The property is in a locked, gated community. There is a good restaurant, Anicetos, about 2 miles south on Mex 5. We did our major shopping at the Calimax in San Felipe but there is a small market near Anicetos. The only minor issue that we experienced is that the shower water pressure is weak and the bathroom sinks are very high. My wife is only 5ft tall and had a hard time. Otherwise, this house is wonderful. They have 2 properties in the community and we've stayed at both and will be back. Highly recommended. Enjoy!!

Villa at Campo Baja Beach Resort in 2024

We spent 6 weeks here from mid 2024-01 to end 2024-02. Pros: Many (a) Beautiful, quiet location (other than surf, wind and the occasional dune buggy) (b) House nice and comfortable, including beds. (c) Was concerned about off-grid electricity, but had no problem. Solar panels and batteries powered a small fridge, all lights, internet and my computer with no issues. There is a back-up propane electrical generator but we did not use. (d) Service attendant Alfredo was attentive re filling water cisterns, emptying garbage frequently, ensuring house propane tank for stove and fireplace was filled, etc. (e) Neighbours to north are super friendly, and provided suggestions re local restaurants, and weekly (Wednesday) gent who sells veggies (about 6 km away) (f) Town of San Felipe has large super market that has most things one needs. Cons: Not much other than: (1) Fridge is small, but we found OK (2) No clothes washer/dryer. We went into town once to a laundry. (3) No enclosed yard for small dogs, but neighbours said coyotes are really rare on beach. (4) Sand blows onto porch, and tracks into house. So get used to that 'gritty feeling' under your feet. (5) No TV, but we used internet to watch a couple of movies on my PC. n short, a very nice house and location. Overall, a great place, and safe/secure.

We appreciated the setting of the house much more than the house itself. It is right on the beach and the sunrises were amazing. The house itself is shabby, the kitchen not well equiped, and even though we were super careful with windows and doors, infested with flies. The beds need to be replaced. The kayaks were great but most days it was way too windy to be on the water. The neighbors were great and shared with us lots of info about the area. It would have been nice if the owner had shared it in the welcome manual. The information provided there was out-of- date.

Amazing house in a great location!

We just got home from our week long stay and we had the most amazing time! We love that the house is eco-friendly and off grid. Power management is a must so you don't have to use the generator much, but we quickly figured out how to manage it and never needed to change the propane tank. The house is beautiful adobe brick and the patio is amazing! You can't beat the location! The beach is pristine and was not busy at all! we practically had it to ourselves! The neighbors were very friendly and we enjoyed spending time with their sweet dogs! We love this location and plan to come back again as soon as possible!

We love beaches and traveling. We have been vacation rentals owners for a few years and just decided to share our favorite beach house with guests.

We also just added a second Baja beach front home in the same enclave. Baja Beach Front Getaway property Id # 4903685 2 bedroom 2 bath and accommodates up to 4 guests, AC in bedrooms for those who want to travel in summer months. Rent both houses. Great way to have multiple families all at the beach!

Why they chose this property

We have been traveling to Baja for 30 years and fell in love with this property and its location. It's an amazing place. We get to spend some great family time when we go there and completely unplug. It is one of my favorites spots in the world.

"We have been fortunate enough to stay at this amazing property many times. Our family has been going down to this part of Baja for over 20 years. Our friends stayed in the other home in the neighborhood, so we had a fun group. The house is very spacious with two large bathrooms. Both bedrooms are identical masters and have sliders that look out onto the beach. There is something very special about watching the sunrise over the Sea of Cortez - every morning is magical! We had perfect weather with amazing beach days. Lots of kayaking, SUPing , Beach walks and relaxing. The highlight of the trip was watching baby sea turtles hatch from their nest and make their journey to the sea. This happened on four consecutive mornings about a third of a mile north from the house - we had never seen this, so a bucket list item for sure! The entire week was magical! Can’t wait to go back! Thanks so much !!!"
