Welcome one and all to Dunmovin'. The Cottage you will be staying in has a 40's vibe, but still has the creature comforts we have all come to expect. Don't forget your fishing pole, this property is on the banks of the Wild and Scenic Rogue River. Lounge by the heated saline pool (mid April-October), feed the geese, go shopping, or head to any of the amazing restaurants that are just around the corner. I'm in the city limits, so everything is just around the corner. It's my slice of heaven and I'm sharing it with you.
I also have a larger vacation studio apartment it is River facing and poolside with a full kitchen.
Some things I gladly share with my clients include a brand spanking new saline pool that is open April through October (and its heated to a balmy 79 degrees). I also have a tandem bike for those who want to take a day cruise. Although the Cottage doesn't have a full kitchen, it does have a microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, and a fridge. I have recently added an induction cooktop as well as all necessary cooking items - and some frills- to create a stovetop meal inside the Cottage. Recent guests have been delighted with the addition. While I do not offer a traditional kitchen, I do offer a workaround. You also have access to my grill at poolside and the vintage outdoor table that seats six. If you forget something or find a need for it while staying in the Cottage, don't hesitate to ask. I probably have it.
To open the Big Gate - the code is 1897. You can punch in the numbers on the keypad and then hit #. This will open or shut the gate. You have about 2 minutes to enter or exit and then the gate will automatically close. I try to keep it closed to keep the dogs in. It also keeps out most of the random door to door sales :).
After arrival, you will be given a set of keys and a gate fob to operate the gate. Give me a heads up on your arrival estimated time, and I’ll make sure to open the gate for your entry. Most guest prefer to go old school and use a traditional hard key which is issued to all guests in arrival.
To get to the pool, there is a walkway straight out of your front door, in front of the main house garages and to the side of them. Follow the side walkway and you will see the security gate. Lift up on the plastic child lock and pull it toward you. It will automatically swing shut when you walk through. If you accidentally go to the other side of the house, you will find the trash receptacles :) always a good find, and you can get to the pool from there, it's just not as nice of a walk.
Trash receptacles are through the breezeway between the main house and the cottage near the rear of the cottage. The tan receptacle holds recyclables and the dark receptacle holds other trash.
Depending on the time of year you are here, please feel free to pick fresh fruit from the trees (apple, plum, cherry, and sour cherry), or veggies from the garden. I do ask that you close and securely latch each gate you pass through so the dogs do not take a walk about the neighborhood and annoy my neighbors.
Fishing - the fish jump all day long. I watch them from my kitchen window. I've caught them at all times of the day and from on everything from a lure, worm, and balls of fire. Make sure you have an Oregon Fishing License, but it's really relaxing to just walk down there and throw the line in for a few minutes in the evening.
Fire Pit - There is a fire pit poolside and firewood near the west hedge. Feel free to build a fire in the pit, if you plan on staying up and watching stars or roasting marshmallows (I have marshmallow sticks).
Note: I do have one elderly medium-large sized dog, and one puppy onsite. The are very affectionate and somewhat demanding of attention if they get their way. Neither has ever been aggressive in any way. They will enthusiastically greet you every time you come home, open the door, say their name, look at them... if you do not want them to show their adoration, just tell them to 'go lay down'. They will leave you alone.
THE SALTWATER POOL IS CLOSED FOR THE SEASON.

We just loved staying in this wonderful cottage! The host was so kind and was able to recommend several ideas during our stay. It was well-stocked with tea, coffee, yummy snacks and the fluffiest of towels! We will definitely stay here again!
We enjoyed our stay very much had everything that we needed to make us feel right at home. And had a buddy for our pooch to play with this place will remain on our list for future stays.
An amazing property with an amazing host! Unfortunately we got in later than expected and did not get to fully enjoy everything this place has to offer. We arrived 5 hour later than expected and were met at the open gate by our wonderful host who gave us a tour of the beautiful property. We got up and sat on the river bank just outside the backyard sipping morning coffee and watch the ducks play in the river. I would stay here a million times!
It was a wonderful stay. The accommodations were beautiful and so was the outdoors. Teresa was great. It is pet-friendly and our dog enjoyed it too! We would stay there again.
This property was absolutely amazing!
The cottage was very clean and well decorated. Teresa was very friendly and made the stay even that much more enjoyable. I will be returning in the future and would recommend this stay to anybody looking.

Why they chose this property
This question asks 'Why this property?'. Why indeed. There are any number of other choices a traveler can make. Occasionally I will hear “Wow, you’re expensive.” And i think, “Really? Compared to what?” See… some people drive a Lexus; some drive a Kia, some people eat tamales from the lady at the farmers market; some like theirs from a can, some people value the experience, quality and memories made when choosing their accommodations; some are okay as long as the door locks.
Any car will get you where you need to go. Any food will fill you up. Most any bed will produce sleep. The end result is the same.
But…
The QUALITY of the results differ. The EXPERIENCE differs. The VALUE differs.
There is no right or wrong It’s simply what’s important to you.
If you are looking for something beyond the norm, where we pride ourselves on a clean, comfortable stay, where you can have a memorable relaxing place to hang your hat, and maybe just take a minute or two to experience life without all the hustle and bustle, yet still be in town, and have all the amenities that you need to step back into your demanding life, DunMovin may be the place for you. Or not.
