The View - Penthouse - Seafront

☆WELCOME TO THE VIEW - PENTHOUSE IN BARBADOS ☆

OMG! Watch Turtles popping up for air from your spacious terrasse and fall a sleep to the sound of the waves.

THE VIEW - MIDDLE DECK and THE VIEW - LOWER DECK are the other two separate and private apartments in the same building.

The south coast of Barbados is the place to be for all kind of surf activities or just to relax. You will find surfers on the water when the waves are right and kite/wing- and windsurfers as soon as the wind is blowing.


THE SPACE:
The View is the place to be if you like to be close to nature and still enjoy the luxury of a fully equipped modern Scandinavian inspired home.

You can enjoy the stunning views from the spacious terrasse. There is a wind and rain protecting remote controlled screen to the east on the terrasse, so you will be able to enjoy the outdoors in almost all weather conditions.

You can also admire the sunrise from your King size bed through two big panorama windows.

Between the two panorama windows is a 50" SMART TV mounted on the wall with Netflix.

The fully automated Velux skylight window gives you the view to the stars and the moon which is placed over the King Size bed.

The Penthouse has a 4 person eating area, a sofa, a little computer working station and the King size bed.

There is a small well equipped Scavolini kitchen attached.

The walk through closet brings you to the modern bathroom.


GUEST ACCESS:
You can park just in front or on the parking area just beside The View.

The garden on the sea side and beside to the east is accessable for all guests of The View.

There is a garden shower.

OTHER DETAILS TO NOTE:
To be as green as possible we collect rainwater and have a 2600gallon/10m3 under the house. We use the water for cleaning of windows and for our garden sprinkler.

We use Mother Sun to heat up for hot water, we have one solar panel for each apartment on the roof.

The View

We stayed at The View for 10 nights. It was perfect size for myself and my husband. Mark was there when we arrived and made sure we knew where everything was in the apartment, he also left us a delicious bottle of rum punch!Mark was always responsive if we needed something. We loved waking up having coffee and breakfast to the sound of the waves and beautiful views. The apartment was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen, sun lounge chairs and beach towels. It's close to Oistens and Surfer's Bay Resort is right next door with a live band on Sundays. Would highly suggest renting a car from this location as it is on the South end of the island so a little further away, but completely worth it for the privacy and location. The apartment does get hot, but we opened the skylight and it really helped to pull air through. We used the A/C at night. It was a perfect vacation and we are already planning our next trip to Barbados!

beautiful location, amazing owners/host. every morning all I heard was waves and birds. Very close to surfers bar where right side red plays every Sunday. Huge deck overlooking the ocean which you could reach with the toss of a stone. Very close to Oistens and easy to get to South or West coasts .

Birthday Weekend to remember - Feb 2024

The View was just what we needed. Clean, remarkable location, great amenities. Bent and Cornelia were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I spent my birthday weekend at the The View and it was fantastic. The panoramic ocean views were breathtaking, location was close to surfers bay, where there was a live band. The garden was amazing and relaxing. We would be back again for sure. The View was just what we needed.

Very nice flat to stay, highly recommended!

We stayed one night prior to embarking on a cruise. Upon booking we received a personal email explaining transportation from airport and cruise terminal. Upon arrival Cornelia greeted us, made us feel at home. Penthouse flat had a very nice view. Nice private balcony. Was clean and well looked after. Dinner, live music and bar experience next door was indeed fun. Would definitely stay here again. Water was on rough side during our brief visit so unable to swim. Highly recommend flat to anyone. Thank-you Cornelia!

Stunning Penthouse at The View

We had a wonderful time at the penthouse room of The View. Great hosts, really clean and nice room, beautfiul balcony and of course seaside view. Really an exceptional spot. We couldnt ask for anything else. Just wish we stayed an extra day as it blew our hotel out of the water but we unfortunately werent able to modify our other stay.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property. Bent and Cornelia arranged for a car to pick us up from the airport and Cornelia stayed up to offer a warm welcome and show us around. The penthouse is spotlessly clean, very thoughtfully and beautifully appointed, and has everything you need to feel comfortable and cook. Cornelia even left us a few eggs, some bread, and jam for breakfast since we had gotten in so late and didn't have time to stop at a grocery store. The View is appropriately named as there is a panoramic view of the water from the deck (and even from sitting in bed!). There is a lovely path to walk the coast right in front of the house and although the water is a bit rougher than the west coast, we much preferred this quiet section of the island. Cornelia was kind enough to take us on a driving tour of the surrounding areas so we could get our bearings, which was so helpful. The house is about a five minute drive to everything you need (surf spots, Oistins, supermarket, etc.). I highly recommend renting a car for convenience. The surf bar right next door opened around 4pm for dinner and had great food and an even better happy hour. As if our stay couldn't have been better, Cornelia lent us a couple of beach towels to use for the second leg of our trip, which we so appreciated. Another bonus - there are two very very sweet dogs on property that greeted us regularly and made us feel at home. Thank you for such a wonderful stay - we hope to see you again soon!

Wonderful!!!!

It was beautiful! We had an amazing time on our trip! Our home host, Cornelia was fantastic. She gave us a personal escort into town to gather groceries and she showed us some sites along the way. Her welcoming smile greeted us each day! A wonderful place to stay!

We worked in Barbados from 2004 to 2006 renovating the airport and fell in love with Barbados and that is why we bought a house here in 2007. We have over the last years built a total new house with 3 separate apartments on the old footprint and we are very happy about the results.
