Welcome to Breaking Away, a bright and comfortable 1 bedroom Isle of Palms vacation rental at The Ocean Inn. This second floor condo is filled with natural light and has a relaxed beach feel that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy your stay.
One of the things guests notice right away is how bright the space is. This is the only condo in the complex with windows on three sides, bringing in sunshine, ocean breezes, and even a small ocean peek in the distance. From the front door you can see palm trees swaying, hear the waves in the background, and enjoy those quiet island mornings.
The living area is comfortable and inviting with a queen sleeper sofa featuring a memory foam mattress, a natural woven chair, and a large Smart TV with cable. Books and games are available for relaxing evenings after a day at the beach.
The kitchen has been thoughtfully redesigned to make the most of the space and includes a full refrigerator, stove and oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, cookware, dishes, and everything needed for easy meals. There is also a new dishwasher, which always makes vacation just a little easier.
The bedroom includes a queen bed, closet space for your belongings, and a second Smart TV. Colorful café doors between the bedroom and bathroom add a little personality while still providing privacy for the dressing area.
The bathroom has been beautifully renovated with a deep tub and shower combination, perfect for rinsing off after a beach day or enjoying a relaxing soak.
The Ocean Inn property includes a small pool, two outdoor grill areas, free parking, and shared laundry facilities just steps away.
This location makes vacation easy. Once you arrive, you are close to restaurants, shops, a local coffeehouse next door, bike and moped rentals, and the beach just a short walk away. If you feel like exploring, Sullivan’s Island, Mount Pleasant, and historic downtown Charleston are all a quick drive from the island.

We loved this place. Everything is new-ish and well maintained. It is only a block from bars & restaurants and two blocks from the beach. And if you don't feel like hitting the beach - no problem - the development has a little pool area.

We really enjoyed our stay here although we had to leave 2 days early because of unforeseen reasons. The condo was very clean and Beth was fantastic to work with!

Extra blankets and pillows are available for guests if needed and requested. We always try to provide what is needed for registered guests but once in a while a guest needs extras. We had a great stay. Very clean, good location. It was kind of small for 4 people. And bathroom was in the master bedroom. That was sometimes a struggle but overall, very nice. Would stay again.
We have stayed here twice and always enjoy it! We plan to come back again! The ease of parking, access to the pool and a very short direct walk to the beach is amazing especially for families with young children. Beth, the property manager is always so thoughtful and quick to jump in with any need that may arise. Ghank you!

We stayed at apt 206 at Ocean Inn. This apt. was a very nice clean and cozy place. It was very convenient to restaurants and shops. The communication was great with the host and they were very accommodating. I have been using VRBO for several years now and this was overall the best host and clean place. I have always had excellent places and accommodations and hosts but this host is really on top of it. The Ocean Inn itself is very nice and well kept being very close to beach, restaurants and shops. Condo was just as described. Cute and comfortable and within a short walk of the beach and restaurants. Wish the bed was a king instead of a queen as there is room for it. Really enjoyed the area and would definitely return. Clear and detailed instructions from the property manager.
Beautiful surroundings, condo was sooo clean. Management very attentive to our needs. Quiet very peaceful. 5 minute walk to the lovely beach. Beds were comfortable no sagging mattresses or lumpy pillows. Bed were cleanly suppled with fresh linen upon arrival. . Kitchen was fully stock with equipment to cook. You supply food of course. Restaurants and grocery store near by. My family enjoyed the whole experience.
I was completely surprised at how everything was beyond my expectations. I will stay there again and will encourage family and friends to stay at Ocean Inn.
Everything was perfect - communication, description of property, cleanliness, amenities, location and check in/out process. I definitely recommend staying here if you are a small family or couple.
When I originally tried to book our stay, it didn’t meet the minimum time requirement even though the days were available. The days before and after our stay were also booked so we couldn’t change the dates to make the stay longer in order to book. I messaged Beth to ask if they could even allow us to book. She was quick to respond and managed to accommodate our request! From then on the communication continued to be top tier.
We arrived at the condo 2 hours before check in was allowed, but since we had printed the parking pass we were able to park in the lot, which we took advantage of. There were so many places to explore within walking distance so the 2 hours passed by quickly.
Check in instructions were easy and we got into our room with no problems. We loved the decorations and the the cleanliness of the condo. It was exactly as described and shown in the photos. It had everything we needed for our stay. We took advantage of the beach chairs provided for use and we’re thankful because we didn’t bring our own. We didn’t use the utensils or any dishes provided as we ate out and didn’t spend a lot of time actually in the condo as there was so much to do nearby. However, there were dishes and things provided if we had wanted to cook our own meals. The pool was great, too and not crowded.
The location is absolutely perfect. Once we parked on day 1 we didn’t use our vehicle until we left to come home. Everything was within walking distance. Beach access was important and to us and it was a short walk - that’s where we spent a majority of the time. We also walked to all the restaurants and shops around. We will definitely be back!
We visit the IOP every year before school starts. This is our second year staying at Ocean Inn condos. The condos are clean the property is well maintained and it’s a 2 minute walk to the beach and surrounded by restaurants that are within walking distance. Beth - property manager was helpful and nice. Will definitely stay here again
This is a ocean-themed condo that is just off the (you guessed it!) ocean. There's lots to do in the area, and the property manager is very accessible if you need anything.
