Family-Friendly Cottage on full recreation lake

Bring your family and friends to this beautiful, spacious, family-friendly cottage on a full recreation lake that is just the right size. Our family has enjoyed it for over 20 years with family and friends. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you need to create memories that last a lifetime.
The lake is about 280 acres, spring-fed and is perfect for many activities. Sailing, swimming, tubing and fishing are our favorites. The fire pit is available to use and firewood is available at most nearby grocery stores. There is also room in the yard for cook-outs and yard games for your family to enjoy.
Kids of all ages will enjoy swimming in the shallow water right off of the pier on a firm, sandy bottom. The kids love to watch the minnows swim and feed the ducks that like to come near the pier.
The cottage is fully furnished, air conditioned, smoke-free and has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Enjoy a large variety of games that are available for you to use.
The décor is comfortable and casual, with a bit of a nautical theme. You’ll love just relaxing in the front room or outside on the patio with a beautiful view of the lake. There are three Roku TV’s in the cottage if you are in the mood for a movie.
You will love spending time in this open-concept kitchen. The kitchen is large enough to make a big meal, if you want to, with a table that seats 8. Plus, there is another table near it on the porch. It has all of the amenities of home including all large appliances, including a dishwasher, a coffee maker and microwave. Don’t worry about pots, pans, silverware and cookware. If you need to do a little laundry when you are there, a washing machine and dryer are in the basement as well. It’s all there, including a spectacular view of the lake!
Two of the bedrooms are ready for couples and have queen size beds. The third bedroom can either be used for 2 more couples or the kids-it’s complete with one double/twin bunk bed and another double bed. There is also a futon for and extra guest or two. All linens, towels, and blankets are included. Two full baths allow for plenty of space for all guests to get ready for their activities comfortably.
It's a relaxed setting outside of town but just minutes away from restaurants, grocery stores, and gas stations.

Great place for relaxing vacation

We had a really good time at this lovely cottage. It is very quiet and cozy. The owners are very nice and cooperative. It has direct access to the lake which is just lovely. Great place for a great family getaway.

Hidden Gem

Amazing place to stay. Enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and relaxing views of the lake. Loved the quiet neighborhood. Definitely worth the price. Would consider coming back again.

A Great Get-Away

This house is a great space for a family to enjoy some time away from the city and some time together. It's well cared for and well laid out. The weather had much to be desired during our week, but there's not much one can do about that. We took advantage of some hot cloudy days and went to the wonderful splash pad at a park in town. We also went bowling in town on a rainy evening.

Cozy lake retreat

We enjoyed staying at this cottage. It was very clean when we arrived and fully stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. Beautiful views of the lake and plenty of room. Recommend it to anyone!

Comfortable Retreat

Lovely property, had everything needed for great week. Even though near busy highway, did not hear it at all! Nice sandy area to swim, no weeds!! Have two suggestions to make property even better.! Ladder near end of dock so easier to get from deep water on to the dock, and secondly, clothes line outside to hang wet suits.

Family get-away

We had a really great time. The layout of the house is great for sleeping and privacy in that the bedrooms are a distance apart. Also, there is one bedroom in particular that quite far from the kitchen making it a perfect place for my 2 year old grandson. The kitchen was well equipped. It was great to have 2 full bathrooms. The lake was very shallow making it easy to play in the water with my grandson who dug up rocks and threw them back in, endlessly. We had a fire one night in the fire pit and were able to grill for dinner. There is an amazing playground in town, probably the best I've ever seen and I'm from Milwaukee! I'd say the only issue, besides the mosquitos, was that we wanted to bike ride with our Burley, but other than going around in a very small loop in the immediate area, there was no way to do that safely. Perhaps there was a bike trail someplace close, however we didn't explore it. Anne, thank you for a wonderful stay! It really couldn't have been better.

Perfect Getaway!

This property is exactly what you're looking for! Communication with Anne was seamless and she was highly responsive. The house had just what we needed and the location was ideal. We had enough privacy, but could get to town easily. The lake was ideal for our families needs, the shallowness worked well for us. We'll be back, we are grateful for the respite we found at Irogami Lake.

Sweet cottage on a peaceful lake

Thank you for a wonderful experience at your beautiful place. Providing plenty of wood for fires in the firepit multiple nights, was a great benefit! We had a great time.

Nice place but:

We enjoyed our stay. Very peaceful easy to find. Had great communication with owners. Had plenty of towels, places to sit and kitchen stuff. Enjoyed the canoe and fishing for small fish off the pier.Our 2 not so happy things where the windows were very dirty, hard to see the beautiful view and there was numerous finger prints lefts on the back glass door. We also aren't sure if there was added cleaning due to covid. The other was no real grass in the backyard for our 2 year old granddaughter to play in. It was full of raised tree roots. This was all probable do to the many trees that shade the backyard most of the day. Really nothing owners can do about that except remove some of the trees.

Everything we could have hoped for

We had such a nice time at “hour getaway!” The pictures do not do it justice. Clean, spacious and so many extra amenities that other places I’ve stayed just don’t have. We really felt at home!! Loved the lake. Kids swam everyday and we had a fire most nights. I can’t say enough good about this place! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Fathers Day Retreat

We loved our stay! We were wanting for nothing, the cottage was set up to cater to a relaxing, stress free stay. Everything you might need for the perfect vacation was supplied and all that was left to do was enjoy the location, each other and the memories that we made together. Everyone involved was extremely impressed with this property and the amount of thoughtfulness that went into providing the best vacation experience for our family. Beautiful cottage in a breathtaking setting!

A comfortable well- equipped cottage with all of the comforts of home! Our family had a wonderful, relaxing vacation in this beautiful home tucked in the pine trees, with amazing view of the lake! Our children caught Loads of fish everyday right off the pier! Nightly sunsets were stunning and family time around the fire made lasting memories. Would love to return to this gem. Owners were very responsive to any questions we had. We highly recommend this home away from home.

Summer Place

This cottage has been the "summer place" for our family vacation for 5 years. It comfortably accommodates 5 adults and 3 children. The children look forward to returning all year long, and as one of the children announced when we arrived this year: "There are so many happy memories in this house." The owners are easy to work with, and this year they added a canoe, which everyone enjoyed. We're looking forward to next year!

Fantastic Extended Family Getaway

Everything from the booking process to the exit process was smooth and better than we expected. The homeowner was so patient with all of my questions! The house was very clean and roomy. We never felt too close for comfort and daily we had 7-8 people staying. Loved the kitchen and we all took turns having a "dinner" night and loved working in such a large area. Besides food and clothes, everything we needed was provided. The lake was so peaceful and throughout the week we enjoyed much fishing. Every night we had a campfire and wood was even provided! We did rent a pontoon boat and brought up an inflatable 5 person rowboat. Perfect for both and perfect for the peddle boat & canoe that was on the grounds. A couple times we did walk over to Silver Lake (3 blocks), enjoyed that beach, the tiki bar and the Silvercrest Supper Club. I highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a great, relaxing vacation!

Feels like Home!!!

My family and I have vacationed on the lake for years in different areas, but never felt as at home or sad to leave a vacation place. The cottage is amazing!! Everything you could possibly need throughout the entire cottage. The lake is wonderful, we kayaked, used the paddle boat, fished, coffee and the patio each morning looking over the beautiful lake. The pics on site does not do the cottage justice. It's absolutely wonderful. The owners Anne and Gregg were very attentive to making sure our vacation was good, (but we needed nothing because everything was perfect). We booked for next year already and looking forward to it already!!! Thank you Anne and Gregg, was a great vacation!!!!! 5 stars is not enough, should be 10!!!! Mary, summer of August 2019

Relaxing getaway

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cottage on Lake Irogami. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay, kitchen appliances, cooking utensils, games, etc. We had a great week of much needed relaxing. Plus we were given a welcome bag when we arrived which was a really nice touch!

Helped save our vacation!

We had received notice 2 days before our vacation that the place we had rented was damaged during a recent storm. My family had already scheduled time off from their jobs and we were extremely frustrated that we wouldn't be able to take our annual family vacation. We were extremely lucky to find this gem and were able to rent it on short notice. We all loved it! It actually turned out to be a better place than the one we had rented. The owners were awesome and it was located in the same general area that we've become accustomed to from previous vacations in the area. The cottage was very clean and it accommodated out entire family of 6 adults and 2 kids. It could also accommodate more. The only negative was the weather, but you can't control mother nature. Swimming was great when we could get in the water. It's also very quiet.

Peaceful place for family to gather.

Our family just completed our THIRD vacation at the Brunette's beautiful cottage. It comfortably accommodated three grandparents, two parents, and three children ages seven, six, and four. The washer and dryer was very helpful with the activities of three children, and the central air conditioning was appreciated during the hot/humid August days and nights. Our son (children's father) is an avid fisherman and caught many perch everyday, which was exciting for him as well as the children. The sunsets are beautiful and were followed by campfires. The children loved feeding the ducks, and they developed a special relationship with one they named "Violet" who enjoyed the oats and peas the children fed her daily. The shallow water around the pier is ideal for the children's ages and swimming abilities, and they truly enjoyed much water play. The large kitchen was perfect for the many cooks in the kitchen and for family seating around the farmhouse-sized table. Most importantly, the lake is not busy or noisy like other lakes we have visited in the area: the cottage property and lake are truly peaceful and relaxing. Communication with the owners was prompt and courteous. We will definitely be returning! Casey from Milwaukee.

We have used our family cottage for many years, enjoying seeing the kids learn to swim, fish, tube and ski. The location is wonderful and the lake is big enough to do the activities we like, but small enough that you're not constantly competing for space. Our family has grown and gotten closer because of 'Hour Get-A-Way'!

Why they chose this property

The lake is the first draw, of course. The residential neighborhood is welcoming and friendly. We enjoy being just a few minutes outside of town, which means that conveniences such as restaurants, groceries stores, a hardware store, and gas stations are nearby.

What makes this property unique

We just love how relaxing and comfortable our cottage is. There is space for us to split up and spend time alone reading, relaxing or watching TV, yet when we want to play games, cards, or have a fire-pit together, we can do that too. As soon as we get there, we suddenly forget about the stress and worry of 'real life' and we relax and get back to what's most important-our family.
