Hello and welcome to Urban Serenity! My name is Miriam. I am married to my wonderful husband Gary for 26 years! We have been blessed with 4 amazing children, 2 son in laws and 1 daughter in law, and 3 sweet grandbabies who we simply adore!
Fun fact about me…. I grew up Amish and lived the Amish lifestyle till I was 16 years old when I met my husband who also grew up Amish. We joined a Mennonite church and got married in 1998. We now go to a non denominational church which we love!
In 2024 we bought a property in Sugarcreek with the intentions of doing a quick remodel and renting it out as a long term rental property. After possession of the property we soon decided that we would love to turn this property into an Airbnb in order to serve people that are coming to the beautiful Amish Country, which changed the plans of a quick remodel to a complete tear out and start from the beginning. We have not looked back and absolutely love what we do!
My husband and I love the outdoors so in our free time you will find us first and foremost spending lots of time with family and friends and then travel. We love to travel to different destinations and take in all the beauty that God has created for us to enjoy! Being outdoors brings us a sense of peace and contentment.

Sugarcreek Ohio is a beautiful small town filled with many little shops, an amazing restaurant, a bulk food store that carries lots of Amish foods, an Amish Bakery, and most definitely the best coffee shop around! All this is within walking distance of Urban Serenity!
