This is a cozy, comfortable, just perfect cabin. You can tell when a host cares for the place, and this felt very cared for. We highly recommend staying here, and hope to ourselves again!

Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay while enjoying all that the territory and Galena have to offer. The accommodations were perfect for us to host our son and the grandkids. Our hosts provide everything we could want… fully equipped kitchen made our meal time enjoyable. The hosts were always available to answer all our questions and provide helpful ideas for things to do during our stay. We WIlL be back again!

Exceptional spot, very thoughtful host

A gals weekend away and The Cardinals Nest was just right for us. 4 sisters and our mother and we take a yearly trip to Galena area. This home was clean, well equipped, with comfortable beds and furniture. The property was beautiful in its setting and well maintained with blooming annuals and perennials. Surrounded by trees, it was lovely. We will be returning. Thank you to our hosts!

Absolutely beautiful rental!

Upon arriving at the Cardinal's Nest we were greated with a beautiful, clean, well stocked kitchen. The livingroom has a screened porch and a deck. My sisters and I along with our spouses enjoyed every minute of our stay. We had a Pac Man battle on the arcade machine, enjoyed playing cards, listening to music and the Galena reenactment downtown along with the shops. Absolutely a perfect rental!!

Stayed at Cardinal's nest with 2 friends to celebrate my Birthday in Galena. The house is beautiful, comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. So many little extra touches, like flowers on the toilet paper and paper towel rolls, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in each shower, "in case you forgot something" jar in the main bathing with extra supplies. Brianna, our host was super quick to answer any questions we had and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We look forward to staying again. thank you so much for sharing your lovely home!

Having visited several times a year for decades, we are overjoyed to now have our own home in the area to enjoy and share with family and friends. The relaxing small-town vibe rejuvenates us and we find a new adventure to have every time we visit.
