Villa Oleander is ideally located if you are looking to relax day & evening and be away from the hustle and bustle but close to explore the highlights of Corfu and experience the charm of the Corfu hills & countryside.

The inviting swimming pool and south facing garden makes it the ideal setting for sun-worshipers. The gardens and pool area are private and surrounded by honeysuckle and Oleander. It is furnished to a high standard with a cathedral ceiling, open plan lounge and dining area giving a light and spacious feel.

We are surrounded by farmland and Olive groves and enjoy the tranquility of the spectacular countryside

The cosmopolitan village of Pelekas with its wide variety of bars, shops and traditional Greek Tavernas is only a 10 minute drive away. The sandy beach resort of Glyfada is 15 minutes drive, as is the golf course. Corfu town is only 10 minutes drive. Aqualand is 5 minutes.

The villa is beautiful! Very private, equipped with everything you might need and well maintained. Shay and Stephen were incredibly helpful and easily contacted for help or advice. Check in was easy and our hosts provided basic supplies to get us started. The villa is very central and the whole usland is within easy reach. You will, however need a car and nerves of steel to drive it!One of the best experiences we have had in many years of villa renting.

Villa oleander a magnificent place to stay

I have just returned from a fantastic holiday and had the utmost luck to find villa oleander. The villa is only about ten minutes from the airport which is fabulous after a long flight. The owners supplied a welcome pack with our essentials which was extremely thoughtful and were on hand if we needed any advice or help. We were lucky enough to meet one of the owners, Stephen, who gave us some tips on the best places to visit and eat. The villa is beautiful and extremely clean and comfortable. within a few minutes we were able to visit some beautiful beaches, corfu town, mouse island to name but a few and the villa is ideally located for getting around. I have no hesitation in recommending this villa and will most definitely be returning in hopefully the very near future. thank you Shay and Stephen for letting us enjoy your beautiful villa.

Relaxing

To start with Shay and Stephen are very good on all details before travelling, down to, not just written instructions but also in pictures, and sent us all info on villa, so all prepared. Stephen met us on arrival and very easy to get key. Villa clean and very well equipped, comfy bed. Pool area good with comfy cushions for loungers. Very private. Def need a car, village only 10 mins walk but there a tiny shop and nothing else, we hired a car from value plus car rentals, they were very good. Only thing that we did not like were dogs in the distance barking, and in the night, but that not shay and stephens fault. Would def recommend this villa.

Lovely villa, peaceful and secluded

A lovely two weeks spent at Villa Oleander. The location is very peaceful and off the beaten track and a perfect central location for exploring the island. As mentioned in the villa information a car is a definitely a necessity. The villa was clean, tidy and well equipped and maintained discreetly throughout our stay. Stephen and Shay were the perfect hosts, they completely respected our privacy but were always available if we needed them or had any questions. Before our arrival Shay was very responsive to emails and the information they provided was very extensive and extremely beneficial to our stay. We would definitely recommend hiring a boat to explore the coastline. Spiros boat hire in Barbati was a great recommendation in the villa information guide. We would not hesitate to book this villa again so if you’re considering a booking you will not be disappointed. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Fantastic villa and pool, perfect area to see Corfu!

Firstly the hosts Shay and Stephen have done a wonderful job here, the instructions on directions and within the villa were easy to follow. They greeted us on arrival and were so welcoming! The villa has everything you can ask for including ALL kitchen utensils which is my bug bear! The villa was spotless as was the pool and patio area. As its south facing the pool was so warm and inviting and I agree with previous reviews, the photos don't do this beautiful villa justice! Perfect location to travel around especially to the west and south coast, Pelekas was lovely with some fabulous restaurants and great beach which we didn't visit until later in our week silly billy! We will know better next time - we never go to the same place twice but we are already looking at dates for next year...our children are already looking forward to it! Thank you Shay and Stephen for a wonderful and relaxing holiday xx

The perfect place to relax and unwind. The pictures don't do Oleander justice.

Perfect! Charming rural location, but 5mins away from main road and easy access to anywhere on the island. Really has everything you need, with lovely, helpful, friendly, accessible hosts who understand how to be available and engaging, but respect guests privacy. We will certainly be returning to Villa Oleander. Thank you for a fantastic, relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable stress free holiday.

Fantastic holiday in Corfu

Oleander Villa is just an amazing place to spend holiday in Corfu. The villa is located in a small village, Afra, in the countryside, in a very quiet place. You are only surrounded by some other villas (among them, Shay and Stephen's) and some farms. You may come across some sheeps and goats when driving to town. Afra is ideally located in the middle of the Island. It is just 8 km (20 min) from Corfou old town, 12 km from Glyfada beach (one of the best beach of the island if you love sand), 32 km from the "deep south" and Issos Beach, 35 km (1 hour) from the North west, Sidari and the famous "canal d'amour', so you can tour and discover the whole island from Afra. The villa and its garden (we loved the small oliver trees and laurel) is really great and the swimming pool is just a must-have in the summer. Shay and Stephen are great hosts and will always try to answer yours requests. We needed some towels for the beach and french TV and we have both "in a minute". They lived just across the road so it is reassuring but they are also very respectful of your intimacy. We will love to spend some other holiday at Villa Oleander and meet Shay and Stephen again.

What a fantastic villa! Highly recommended

The villa is super conveniently located to be able to access all parts of the island at a very easy drive and is really close to some of the fantastic beaches such as Glyfada. Shay and Stephen were wonderful hosts who were very helpful with the check in and out processes and generally with information and ideas of what to do in Corfu. The villa was very clean and comfortable with a fantastic pool and outdoor area to sit and relax in.

Schönes Haus mit tollem Pool

Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was wir für den Urlaub gebraucht haben. Wenn wir doch einen Wunsch hatten (Föhn), wurde uns dieser nach einer kurzen Mail kurze Zeit später von Shay (Vermieter) gebracht. Der Pool und Poolbereich ist super, es gibt vier Liegen mit gemütlichen Auflagen. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Die Kommunikation vorab und der persönliche Kontakt vor Ort mit Shay war super. A lovely family holiday!

Having just returned from a two week stay at Villa Oleander, we are all agreed that it is the perfect location for a great family holiday. The villa was perfect; spotlessly clean, well equipped and in an ideal location to explore the island. Shay and Stephen were really helpful in suggesting a car hire company etc. They were also really good at respecting our privacy, but it was great to know that they were there at the end of an email or text if needed. The pool is lovely and well maintained. The sun beds lived up to expectations from other reviews! Overall we would not hesitate to recommend Villa Oleander to anyone who is looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday in a location that is in easy reach of any of Corfu’s beaches and attractions. Thank you to Shay and Stephen for being such thoughtful hosts.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt

Tolles Ferienhaus in ruhiger ländlicher Umgebung, alles sehr gepflegt und sauber. Schöner pool tolles Grundstück und man hat absolute Ruhe. Trotzdem ist man in wenigen Minuten am Strand ,Flughafen oder in Korfu Stadt. Absolut empfehlenswert und serh gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Me and Rob had a lovely time,villa is everything you could wish for. Clean well equipped,peaceful and well located. We travelled 600 miles around the island,which was fairly easy from Afra,as centrally located. Water park was very nearby suitable for young families,young couples. We went to a soap factory/shop in Corfu town,the owner was lovely spoke very good English. The golden fox restaurant has the most stunning view,well worth a visit. So many Beautiful places to visit. Very welcoming owners with great directions to the villa, and a very nice welcoming pack. The villa was very well equipped with tasteful décor in a peaceful location and well kept gardens and lovely swimming pool. Owners Shay and Stephen very helpful but not intrusive. Will visit again.

Beautiful Villa

Villa is exactly as the beautiful photos show you. There was only two of us and it was lovely - the pool and garden areas are beautiful and plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors. Very peaceful and private location, albeit only 10 mins drive to the airport / Corfu Town. You need a car as it's off the beaten track, but that's what's so nice about the villa. The villa is very well equipped with everything that you need for a villa holiday - just like home from home. It's a central location this means you can easily explore the whole island (if you can bear to leave the villa)! Very clean and well maintained and the owner is very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this villa. Two local restaurants I would recommend are Paradiso (casual Greek grill bar) and Ambelonas Vineyard and Restaurant (stunning setting and lovely traditional home cooked food). In town there are hundreds of great restaurants - we ate at Salto Wine Bar and also at Anthos - both excellent. Other nights we had a BBQ at the villa.

A haven of tranquility

We had a wonderful week's stay at Villa Oleander. Everything was immaculate for our arrival, two lovely bedrooms and two good quality bathrooms. The kitchen was fantastically equipped which made self catering a breeze so that we could enjoy lots of lazy lunches and great bbq's in the evening. We had planned to eat out a lot more but actually only ate out twice in the end as we so enjoyed being at the Villa. Villa Oleander is such a haven of comfort and tranquility and we loved spending time there relaxing by the pool surrounded by its very pretty and well maintained garden. And I have to mention the sun bed cushions which are wonderfully luxurious - I don't think I've ever sun bathed in such comfort! The WIFI was fast and always worked and the internet TV with all its English channels was enjoyed by our children when they'd had enough of the pool or were up too early! Shay and Stephen were welcoming and helpful whilst being entirely respectful of our privacy at all times. They have produced a fantastic information file on Corfu and their recommendations really added to our holiday experience. Thanks to them we had a wonderful day hiring a motor boat, exploring the North East coast and enjoying a fantastic lunch in one of their favourite tavernas. A real holiday highlight. We're not ones to return to the same place on holiday but I hope that Villa Oleander may become the exception to that!

Fabulous Villa!

We stayed for a week at the end of September 2016; The villa is conveniently located near Corfu town. Shay & Stephen prepared the villa really well; clean inside & out, good quality bedding, pool and gardens all tidy and ready for use; they also left a welcome pack as well. The villa is really well equipped so you could use it as a base as we did or spend more time there if you prefer. They also provided a load of information in a folder (history of Corfu, places/beaches to visit, recommended restaurants, maps etc.) which was really useful. Could even get British TV. We had no compliants at all and were really pleased with our stay here; would definitely recommend. John, April & Laurence

Lovely viila great location

Just returned from a lovely week at Villa Oleander. The villa was excellent set in the countryside but close to shops. It was very clean and had everything you required. Fantastic Holiday

We have just come back from an idyllic holiday at Villa Oleander.The property and pool were very clean and excellently managed by the very helpful owners.Stephen and Shay had great recommendations for restaurants and trips out and the villa is in an excellent location for all Corfu's sights and lovely beaches.Although the villa itself is in a lovely quiet location it is very near the beautiful and bustling town of Corfu and the lovely village of Pelekas and it's nice beach and great tavernas.Our children loved Aqualand which is very near ,and hiring a boat for the day to explore the stunning coastline and scenic beaches.Thank you Stephen and Shay for your excellent service and knowledgeability of the area.You also have the comfiest sun loungers in Corfu!Our children really appreciated the UK TV and Wifi and the crystal clear pool.We would not hesitate to recommend the villa to others .

Wonderful holiday in Corfu!

We had an absolutely amazing 2 weeks in Corfu staying in this wonderful villa. Stephen and Shay could not have been more helpful or accomodating. The villa is very clean, the pool and gardens are very well maintained and it is in such a peaceful location. I would recommend to absolutely anyone!

Not much to add to the glowing reviews other than to say that they are still accurate in 2015. Clearly a well looked after property and the fact that the owners live in it for a few weeks a year to find out what needs to be done, says a lot about how much they care and it shows. A delightful area for a villa, and we looked forward to getting back to our temporary "home" each day. A well thought out book of restaurants and activities was available.

Shay: I used to work for a Travel company in Corfu in 1987 & 88. I then work on various Greek islands, Madeira, Turkey, Portugal, Mexico and the USA. I was lucky enough to travel the world with my job being based overseas, live in quite a few different countries and experience their culture. I also worked as Cabin Crew doing a mixture of long and short haul flying. I worked for British Airways on their worldwide fleet. Again I was lucky enough to travel the world and stay in some fascinating countries and fabulous hotels. I learnt a lot working in the travel industry and have implemented all the important aspects and attention to details into the comfort and making of the villa. Although I have extensive travel experiences and visit many countries and continents, my heart always remained in Corfu!

Why they chose this property

Because of it's great central location. Quiet and relaxing in the beautiful Corfu countryside but only 15 minutes from Corfu town, 10 minutes from the West coast beaches, 20 minutes to Paleokastritsa and the North East coast.
It's spacious and very private in a non tourist area.

What makes this property unique

The cathedral ceiling keeps the villa cool in the summer and gives a feeling of space. The whole house benefits from this in each room.
The outdoor area is comfortable and relaxing and you can live outside during the warm summer months.
The gardens are private and has a lovely outdoor dining area with barbeque and outdoor sofa area for relaxing during the day and after dinner.
Attention to details for maximum comfort for our guests. Sun loungers with thick mattresses with additional pillows so you can relax in comfort around the swimming pool with plenty of shade available if required.
All windows have fly screens to stop any unwanted visitors.
We have free unlimited wifi internet.
