About this property
Park Circle's Hidden Gem
[Charleston]
A renovated 1-bed / 1-bath hideaway with a private yard, nestled in Park Circle — one of the Charleston area's most vibrant neighborhoods.
Tucked into a quiet street in Park Circle, this freshly renovated space strikes the right balance between modern comfort and laid-back charm. You'll have the whole place to yourself — including a fully enclosed backyard patio, a gas grill, and everything you need to actually relax.
Park Circle is one of the Charleston area's most walkable neighborhoods, with breweries, distilleries, wine bars, and great restaurants all within a short stroll. Downtown Charleston is ten minutes away — think Rainbow Row, world-class restaurants, historic architecture, and the waterfront. Beaches are twenty to thirty.
The Space: Hidden Gem is perfect for solo travelers, couples, or small groups. The bedroom is snug with a queen bed, fresh linens, towels, and a newly installed 50" TV. The bathroom includes a separate shower room. The main living area combines the kitchen, dining, and living room in one open space — with a breakfast bar (2 stools), a dining table for two, and a dedicated coffee station that's fully stocked on arrival.
A memory-foam sleeper sofa adjusts to three positions, making the space work comfortably for your group - and doubling as a second sleeping option. There's also an in-unit washer & dryer with detergent provided, and high-speed WiFi if you need to work remotely.
Out Back: A new furnished patio with seating and a gas grill with cooking utensils — ideal for evenings in.
Getting Around: - Downtown Charleston: 10 min drive - Isle of Palms / Sullivan's Island / Folly Beach: 20–30 min drive - Charleston Airport: 10 min drive - Credit One Stadium (live music & tennis): 10 min drive - Riverfront Park: 2 min drive / 20 min walk — home to the High Water Festival, High Tide Festival, RiverFront Revival, MOMO restaurant, and scenic views of the Cooper River. - Park Circle Playground - 'World's Largest Inclusive Playground' - just down the street!
Walking Distance Highlights: - Holy City Brewing: 20+ beers on tap in a great indoor/outdoor space on Noisette Creek. Exceptional food menu. Try the Discosaurus on tap — and the Holy Chicken sandwich. Address: 1021 Aragon Ave
- EVO Pizzeria: Named one of the top pizza spots in the country by USA Today and the Food Network — and voted Best Restaurant in North Charleston five years running. Wood-fired Neapolitan pies made with local, seasonal ingredients. Don't skip the Pistachio Pesto. Address: 1075 E Montague Ave
- Firefly Distillery: Home of the original Sweet Tea Vodka, with seasonal concerts, bingo, yoga, and free events. Check the events calendar before you arrive. Address: 4201 Spruill Ave
- Odd Duck Market: A cafe and small provisions market that's become one of Park Circle's most beloved spots. Grab breakfast or lunch from their kitchen or pick up local goods to cook at home - think coffee, great sandwiches, pastries, and a curated selection of local products. So popular that a line often forms outside. Address: 1082 E Montague Ave
- Orange Spot Coffee: A cozy neighborhood cafe with freshly roasted coffee, light bites, and an outdoor patio under maples. Known for their coffee, pastries, and Thai iced tea. Address: 1011 E Montague Ave
- Coast Brewing Company: Family-run brewery right beside Riverfront Park. Small but excellent. Boyking IPA + grass-fed burger + fried cheese curds. Address: 1250 2nd St N
- Tattooed Moose: Featured on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives. A Park Circle institution. Mike's Famous Duck Club and the duck fat fries. Address: 4845 Chateau Ave
- Jackrabbit Filly: Chinese-American cuisine with inventive cocktails and outdoor seating. Dim Sum Sunday brunch is not to be missed. Address: 1083 E Montague Ave
- Stems and Skins: A James Beard-nominated wine bar serving natural wines, classic cocktails, and beers from around the world, with Mediterranean small plates, charcuterie, and cheese. One of the most acclaimed spots in the neighborhood. Address: 1070 E Montague Ave
- Paddock & Whisky: A serious whisky and bourbon bar with a solid small-plates menu. Rye old-fashioned + the burger. Don't miss happy hour. Address: 1074 E Montague Ave
- Commonhouse Aleworks: Great beer, trivia nights, live music, and Swig & Swine BBQ on site. Navy Town ale + smoked brisket sausage. Address: 4831 O'Hear Ave
- DIG In The Park: The area's best sports bar — more TVs than anywhere else nearby (indoors and outside). Ask the bartender which screen has your game. Address: 1049 E Montague Ave
- Park Circle Disc Golf Course is also walkable — 18 holes with two tees per hole, winding through live oaks and azaleas. Good for all skill levels.

Wonderful little place if you want to escape! Clean, quiet, and close to everything you could imagine! Host is wonderful as well and gave us lots of recommendations for us to explore! 10/10 would book again
A clean, comfortable private space in a walkable neighborhood, conveniently close to a brewery, several restaurants and a park. Can't beat the location! We'll stay again.

Thank you so much! I love having guests - and pups - who appreciate the Hidden Gem space. So glad it was a great fit for the two of you, and we hope to welcome you (and your furry friend) back again soon!
The house is very nice and clean. The fenced in area is great for pets and for privacy. The location is perfect for accessing park circle, credit one stadium, and just a short drive to other Charleston sights. We loved our stay and appreciate the home’s kind and hospitable host. We would definitely stay again!

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed the space and that the location worked well for your trip. Hospitality means a lot to me, so it's wonderful to hear that came through. Hope to welcome you back to the Blue Ranch soon!
We had a great stay! The house is tiny but very cute, clean, and well maintained. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to several restaurants. The yard was perfect for our dog, and there’s a nice park nearby for walks. Would definitely stay again!

The name "Hidden Gem" is very fitting for this home because it is VERY well hidden. The map from the VRBO app took us to a house on a street behind the actual VRBO. down several ridin

Martha I’m glad you enjoyed CHS and your stay at Hidden Gem. Thank you for your feedback as this is the first time this has been reported
The home is small but that was our expectation. Interior was well-kept, nice, clean & comfortable. The futon in the living room is a bit worn but the rest were in great shape.Exterior, the yard needed a trim as the weeds were high. The landscape was nice and we appreciate enough exterior light when we came home in the dark. For future guests, Google map will not take you to the home as it sits in the back. Just read the owners description & look for the house with blue door. This unit sits behind it. For the owner, we appreciate the stay A few suggestions: a small microwave oven would be nice. Because the shower head points right at the entry/shower curtain, a drying stone mat might be better. Also, a plug in nightlight would be nice in case guests forgot to pack their own like I did. Overall, I would give 5 stars for the value, location and cleanliness.
