40Beautiful hideaway set on 5 acres fronting onto 4 miles of quiet sandy beach on the Wild Atlantic Way It's sheer relaxation peace and tranquility, interrupted only by a ship gliding by or a pod of dolphins.

If you can drag yourself away Ballybunion world famous beach and golf resort is 10 minutes away alive with bars, restaurants music and craic. Listowel heritage town nearby for relaxed shopping and historical sites.
Day trips to Killarney, Ring of Kerry, Dingle, and to Co. Clare via Tarbert ferry.
For the Golfer the house is ideally located to play all the famous links courses of Ireland's south west. Lahinch, Doonbeg, Tralee, Waterville, The Old Head of Kinsale are within reach and of course Ballybunion is right on the doorstep. Killarney and Adare Manor courses are also close by.


This house is filled with light, the sun streams in all day. The hallway is double hight with a gallery staircase. The lounge has polished wooden floor,flat screen TV with surround sound DVD/radio. Double french doors lead to patio/barbecue area. There is comfortable seating for 8 people and breath-taking views.


The spacious kitchen/diner is equipped with a gourmet gas/electric range cooker,dish washer,fridge freezer and granite worktops. the dining table is set in a huge bay window facing the sea. The utility/laundry room has a washer, drier, ironing board and ample storage. ,The master bedroom with luxury en-suite is also on this level. Upstairs there a 3 spacious bedrooms, 2 doubles en-suite. There's a twin bedroom and a large family bathroom with shower over bath. All the bedrooms have great sea views,open up the windows and let the sounds of the sea sooth you off to sleep.


The large patio/ BBQ area is ideal for lage family get togethers or parties and al-fresco dining. The garden is surrounded by paddock fencing . A short path leads to the beach. There is loads of parking, bring your boat, jet ski or any water sports equipment if you wish. The golden sandy beach stretches for 4 miles, why not take a swim before breakfast or a long barefoot walk in the surf?

Peaceful - this property is some 10 kilometers from Ballybunion & location is so much better! Loved the kitchen, with picture window to the lawn & beach just beyond, which was so quiet that it was almost our own 'private' beach. Garden & grounds were immaculate.

The house was spacious, the kitchen was large and well equipped. The whole place was clean and even more beautiful than the listing suggested. It literally took a minute to walk to the beach, and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Amazing Holiday Home

Amazing holiday home with outstanding views and easy excess to the beach which is just at the bottom of the garden. This Holiday home was extremely high end with everything you could possibly need, the beds were very comfortable and the house was spotlessly clean. Just Fabulous!

My siblings and I, along with our spouses used this fantastic house as our home base for our visits to so many of our ancestors history in western Ireland. It was the perfect place to land each evening, for cocktails watching the sunset over the water. The perfect place to reflect on our discoveries. The house is beautiful; the hostws so accommodating! Long awaited family vacation

I’d like to say that our experience met our expectations on this property, but it actually exceeded it. The property was remote and extremely peaceful, with direct access to a beach for long walks. There were 5 family members and the house was quite spacious. It was exactly what we were looking for. Dermot was an absolute gentleman of a host, and was quick to reply to any concerns or questions we had. We definitely plan to return to Dolphin Cottage!

The most AMAZING place to stay in the West coast!

This home to us for the last 2 week was the most AMAZING and gorgeous place to stay! Everything from our first contact with Dermot to the very last day was first class! Dermot was very quick to respond to our texts and recommended great places to visit. The house itself was also 5 star!!! The home was very clean, updated and so very quiet. And the view... A hidden gem

This was our first stay at this lovely cottage and certainly will not be our last. The pictures do not do the cottage justice. Very spacious and comfortable with all the amenities you need. Dermot met us there and also checked on us during our stay to make sure everything was going smoothly, especially with the storm and high winds that came through. Nice clean beach area as well. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower had great water pressure. The cottage is close to the grocery store and nicely located to allow day trips to several areas including Torc Falls, Gap of Dunloe, Dingle, etc. Cannot wait to return!

Erholsamer Traumurlaub in Traum-Ferienhaus

Wir waren schon in vielen Ferienhäusern auf der ganzen Welt unterwegs, aber so ein gut durchdachtes, wunderschönes, sauberes und mit allen Annehmlichkeiten versehenes Ferienhaus in Traumlage direkt mit Meerblick haben wir noch nicht erlebt. Die ruhige Alleinlage, die Kühe mit ihrem Kälbern auf dem Nachbargrundstück, die großen Fensterfronten mit Panoramablick, der direkte Zugang zum Wasser, die Einrichtung und Ausstattung des Hauses - wenn es sechs Sterne geben würde, würden wir diese vergeben.Das Haus ist noch schöner, als auf den Fotos im Expose.Der Cliffwalk in Ballybunion ist absolut sehenswert, ansonsten sind es jedoch schon erhebliche Strecken zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten im Süden (Ring of Kerry) und im Norden (Cliffs of Moher), aber uns hat das nicht gestört, wir würden immer wieder in dieses Ferienhaus kommen.

Großzügiges Haus direkt am Wasser

Das Haus liegt wunderbar ruhig mit tollem Ausblick. Die Einrichtung des Hauses ist sehr gut und die Räume sind großzügig bemessen. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und hat bei einem Problem sofort und zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit reagiert. Trotzdem eine kleine Kritik. In der Küche könnten die Pfannen und Töpfe (Griffe teils wackelig) ausgetauscht sowie Sekt- und Weingläser ergänzt werden, so dass es für 8 Personen reicht. Zwei der Küchenstühle brauchen eine Überarbeitung, weil das Gestell wackelig ist und sich das Polster löst.Die Hausbeschreibung könnte ergänzt werden, dass die Doppelbetten ca. 160 cm breit sind, eine durchgehende Matratze haben und es nur eine Schlafdecke von ca. 180 cm Breite gibt.

Traumhafte Unterkunft

Wir waren zu 7. (5 Erwachsenen, 2 Kinder) und haben den Aufenthalt rundum genossen. Es hat im Haus von der Ausstattung her an nichts gefehlt. Ein Luxus waren natürlich die vier Bäder (plus eine Toilette im EG). Fast jedes Zimmer hat einen traumhaften Blick auf die Bucht, besonders die Zimmer im EG mit den bodentiefen Fenstern. Die Zimmer sind groß und geräumig. Sobald die Sonne rauskam, war der Platz neben dem Haus mit der Hollywoodschaukel unser Lieblingsplatz. Der direkte Zugang zum Strand ist ebenfalls toll. Bei unseren Strandspaziergängen haben wir sogar Delfine gesehen. Die Lage des Hauses ist perfekt: Einsamkeit und Idylle am Haus, aber auch super Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge (Killarney Nationalpark, Cliffs of Bromore, Dingle-Halbinsel mit Connor Pass, Carrigafoyle Castle). Wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben.
