Arrived at location and could not enter home based on instructions. Host could not be reached, not even by VRBO. After a few hours we had to cancel and find alternate arrangements with most hotels full for the Christmas season. Would not recommend.

Nice little flat for our family of four (2 adults and 2 older kids). The location is really good, right across the river from Parliament and Westminster Abbey. Great information provided from the owner on groceries, restaurants, public transportation, and things to see. Overall a great trip.
Once again, an enjoyable stay at Jennifer’s apartment. We enjoy the location, convenience of public transport and view over the park behind. Thank you again Jennifer.

Wonderful Chez Guinevere! This was our second visit...and definitely not our last...in this most perfect flat. The location is ideal and it has everything anyone would need for a comfortable stay in this amazing city. Jennifer is a most informative and gracious host and has recommended excellent places that most of us would miss. We will return and would absolutely recommend it!

We were thrilled to find something in London that fit our budget and not have to stay 30 to 40 minutes away. It was convenient to bus lines, quiet, and within minutes of wonderful views.
Communication was great and a lot of information provided about area. Really liked the coded lock box so keys could be left and no worries of losing them while exploring.
Thanks for making our trip possible!
Perfect location, walking distance to Westminster, London Eye, Buckingham Palace... the apartment is good for 4 persons with everything you need to cook and relax. Jennifer was very responsive and nice. Thank you !

Thank you Lauren I'm very happy to know you had a good time in London.
Jennifer was a great host, the information supplied was amazing, from directions for public transport to restaurant recommendations. The flat is in a fantastic location, within walking distance to many iconic London landmarks. The flat is quite spacious and has small balcony to enjoy a wine or two. Highly recommend Jennifer's flat.
This flat was great for me and my friend as we spent a few days in London. Jennifer was wonderful about giving information about the flat, public transportation, and communicating about check in. Bedrooms were comfortable, the neighborhood was quiet even with trains going by frequently. I got a little turned around finding a couple of the nearby tube stations but soon settled in to the neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again. My favorite part was the short walk to Lambeth Bridge for some beautiful views of the Parliament buildings!

Would recommend to anyone!
Just left London the other day. Our family of four had a great time. The flat is perfectly located and easy to find. Great busing is right outside the door. The flat is well equipped and perfect for a family stay. The place is full of old English charm! When we booked the flat the owner sent us a large email with sights, tips, stores, bus routes, and much more. This is something most vacation rentals don't do so it is fantastic to see someone put the effort in. We would definitely book here again and not even bother pricing out other lodging.

This apartment checked a lot of important boxes for us:
Soundproof windows
Comfortable beds
Reasonably-equipped kitchen (with some serious omissions)
Excellent bathroom and WC space.
Good access to a bus stop
Decent local businesses
Responsive manager
Overall, it was good value for money, being so close to central London.
While a few upgrades would make the place fabulous, the main weakness is that the tube is a 15-minute walk. If you can live with that, “Chez Guinevere” would be a fine choice for a stay in London.
This was our second time in London and this time we were traveling with our niece and wanted more space than a hotel could offer. Jennifer’s place worked well for us. The livingroom couch is now L-shaped which had plenty of room for all of us. We used the washing machine and hung laundry both on the balcony and the supplied drying rack.
You can walk to Westminster underground in about 15 minutes along the River or take one of many buses around the corner. We had a bit of a learning curve with the buses but they really do work well and can get you just about anywhere.

Wonderful Holiday Home
Do not look any further...you have found the perfect place for your London holiday. This flat had everything you need from an amazing location, you'll be at Big Ben in under 10 minutes...walking!...to ample linens, towels and even a corkscrew! The rooms are spacious, the bathroom bright and shiny (powerful shower and hot water to spare) and did I mention the location? The walk across the Lambeth Bridge at night is breathtaking! You'll feel safe, spoiled and most pleased that you chose to stay here. Jennifer is a gracious host and provides ample information, suggestions, maps and ideas for a memorable stay in the most special city in the world...or at least what I've seen of the world. Of note, dinner at Sarastro on a Sunday night is a must-do! Thank you, Jennifer, for our London "home away?"

Excellent choice
We loved this two bedroomed flat and have already booked it for our week's holiday in London next year.
The location is marvellously central - a very short walk brings you to the Albert embankment and its great views across the Thames, of Big Ben and the houses of Parliament. Every morning we walked across Westminster Bridge to begin our day. So lovely not to have to spend time travelling into central London.
The flat itself is lovely, with a much-loved and very comfortable and cosy feel. It is spacious and welcoming , well equipped and charmingly decorated with a mix of modern and traditional furniture.
We appreciated the warmth ( November visit), Jennifer's excellent communication before our stay and the very helpful travel information and suggestions for places to visit, the pretty balcony with views over the park and the ability to park on-site. The nearby convenience stores and pubs and restaurants were a bonus.
The cost is very reasonable and the booking and arrival process very easy and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Thank you Jennifer.

Great location & buses. Tired furnishing, smaller than it looks, noisy ceiling. Appropriate price.
We spent 2 1/2 weeks in this flat in July 2016, and enjoyed our time. The location is great...a short-ish walk from Houses of Parliament, Imperial War Museum, Westminster Abbey and London Eye. Within 30 minutes' walk is much more, including Leicester Square. There are four key bus routes that come within 3 blocks of the flat that take you many key places. With a 15 minute walk, you can get to a couple tube stops and at least one train station.
The flat itself is smaller than the pictures make it look; the furnishings are a bit "tired" and the area rugs could use a cleaning. The kitchen is quite functional, but small (one cook at a time, please!). The washing machine works great, but is small enough that you'll be doing a load of clothes every 2-3 days. Clothes hang dry. The bigger bed is only the size of a "double" (as we would call it in the USA). It is not a queen or king. As we had only one kid with us, we gave her the double bed and we pushed the two single beds together for ourselves - this gave us more room to sleep than the "double" and in a bigger room. While those beds are comfortable, their frames move and creak a fair amount.
We also heard a lot of sounds from the flat upstairs - shuffling along the floor, doors opening, marbles being dropped, etc.
There is one bathroom, but it is helpfully split into two pieces - Toilet vs. Shower/Sink. This allowed one person to shower while another used the toilet (and washed up in the kitchen sink).
The one key piece of advice I'd provide the Jennifer (owner): Install a "grab bar" in the tub, as it can be quite perilous to step in and out of the tub when taking a shower (the tub is narrow and, like many in Europe, raised up above the floor). I nearly slipped and fell several times. That said, once in the shower, it was nice pressure and nice temperature.
Jennifer was quite helpful before our arrival, with good information on the neighborhood, buses, grocery stores, etc. The one time we had a question for her during the visit, she was quite responsive.
Overall, we'd stay here again...knowing that we are paying less than other spots w/in the same general distance to stuff. It is important, though, to moderate your expectations about the size and quality of the unit.

Dear Jack
I have noted your comments about my apartment. Thank you for the suggestion to put in a hand assist bar in the bathroom, that's a good idea. I'm doing some work on the flat in April so will attend to it. I'm also putting new wool carpet in the living room and the largest bedroom. I was glad to read you would choose to stay in my place again, even though you found it small compared to places in the USA. The location is indeed worthy.

Great cozy apartment to stay and experience London. Outside the main hustle and bustle of main London but still easy to get to the main city. Guides were available and very helpful for anything you needed. Place was clean and we had no issues. Lift available for a large amount of luggage
Jennifer was excellent as a host. The information provided was above and beyond expectations and covered every aspect of our stay. Including everything in the unit as well as closest shops restaurants and attractions. The Big Bus stop was literally 200 metres from the front door and if you are athletic you could easily walk to most attractions. The unit was large compared to most in London. Comfortable beds and good sized loungeroom. The toilet and bathroom were small and adequate. The unit overlooks a lovely park. Highly recommend.
This unit is quite basic, but you have the luxury of a two bedroom flat in a prime location at a good price. Major sites are walkable or a bus/tube ride away. City Mapper App is very useful here.
The host had excellent communication and is consistent in making upgrades to this property. She recently had it sound proofed and it will be repainted soon.
We loved having this oasis where we could come rest midday and enjoyed looking out on the Old Paradise Gardens and even met a fox there one evening .
We were here in early May and noticed that the flat did warm up a bit during the day. opening the windows took care of this. I did see fans have been provided if needed, but if visiting in the height of summer, be aware there is not air conditioning.
I would gladly come stay in this property again and recommend it to my friends.
