About this property
Kawagama Shoreline - Log home in a quiet bay on Kawagama Lake
Welcome to Kawagama Shoreline. Kawagama Lake - a year-round fully equipped 3+ bedroom timber frame with stone wood burning fireplaces, and only10 min from Dorset for those last minute things!
A short drive down a quiet cottage road will guide you to a dead-end road, and nestled among the pines and oaks, you'll find a 3+-bedroom timber frame cottage equipment with wood-burning fireplaces throughout, hardwood floors, an expansive deck situated on a quiet cove on Minden Bay, Kawagama Lake.
This property has ample parking and space to play. The cottage boasts a huge lakeside deck, a large dock, an upper lakeside sitting area, a campfire area, and room for the kids to play.
Inside we have 3-bedrooms with two queen and four twin beds available, a fully-equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, games, a coffee bar, and a sunroom with a truly Muskokan look and feel.
The water off the dock is around 7', perfect for docking boats, swimming and fishing. Kawagama offers Lake Trout, some excellent bass fishing waters, and panfish.
Our quiet road is great for morning walks/ jogs, biking, and exploring our amazing Algonquin Highlands ecosystems: a foragers delight, birdwatching, and many animals to identify. You'll often see deer, moose, bear, pine martens, fishers, otters, beavers, barred owls, bald eagles and other small animals passing through the area, not forgetting the iconic sounds of the loon and wolves in the distance.
Bring your own boat- launches at two different marinas on Kawagama (food trucks in the summer for fresh cup fries on the dock and ice cream). The lake is big enough to spend days exploring, tubing, water skiing and fishing.
Our area has abundant fisheries with multi-species opportunities, so you'll run out of time before you run out of fish! You name the species, and we will point you in the right direction.
Enjoy the small-town charm of Dorset, from the iconic bridge and lookout tower, Bigwin boat cruises to the famous general store and hundreds of lakes to explore. With year-round hiking trails, winter activities, wildlife viewing opportunities, public lands, and outstanding ATV/snowmobile trails, only 45 minutes to Algonquin Park, this is a year-round destination for people of all ages and interests. Nearby activities in neighbouring towns can fill your schedule quickly, from a day of boutique shopping in Huntsville or Bracebridge, treetop treks, and wolf viewing, to name a few.
Don't miss out on this newly listed cottage vacation rental; the memories captured here will be talked about for years to come.
