Enjoy a Classic Beach Cottage with Central Air conditioning and Heat, Granite kitchen and floors, Samsung smart stainless appliances and double oven. High end conveniences of today with classic beach cottage feel. With a antique brick patio right on Mandalay Ave, you get to sit outside right in front of the sliding glass doors, and watch the bicycles, skate boarders, and bikini clad roller skaters go by. Great bars like the Shipwreck across street along with Alba Pizza , Never a dull moment at the Lemon Cottage.

Furniture was 30-40 years old. Listing shows a pool but they don’t have a pool. It’s a municipal pool 3 blocks away that you have to pay to use. Sliding door didn’t have a lock- they have a block of wood in the bottom for a lock. Several items/appliances in the kitchen didn’t work. Hot tub water wasn’t being balanced. Exterior was very junky. Housekeeper was very nice and hard working.

It very clearly states in every photo of the pool that it is across the street 2.5 blocks walk and owned by the City of Clearwater. The listing also states that we give you free passes. This HIstoric House is 100 years old but was completely renovated after the Hurricane 0f 2025 with new stainless appliances and guest what new furniture . I am glad you found the house keeer very nice and hardworking and guess what you got excellent service from our Staff, a very clean beach block rental for almost a week, and paid half of what the hotels charge Spring Break, Not only that you had excellent warm weather and sunshine. What are you complaining about Happy Travels. Capt Al

House is just as advertised, its old , but we enjoyed our stay. We will return. Location is great ! We did have a small issue , but the captain was on it and no big deal.

Awesome place and very pet friendly.

Ginger is awesome at taking care of anything you need. Captain Al is also nice and will try to accommodate whatever you need. I will stay here everytime we come to Clearwater. Great place and very laid back. Loved it.

Perfect Beach Getaway

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary by bringing our two dogs to the beach. The place was 20 yards from the beach so it made coming and going very easy. We were able to make home cooked meals or easily walk to nice restaurant. The staff was very attentive to anything we needed. It was perfect for what we wanted.

Quaint cottage stage

Great location right by the beach. Front patio is nice but open to the main street. Air conditioning went out but this was fixed quickly by manager who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. If you are wanting a beach vacation this works great as it is close and also plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas to use. Great weekend getaway!!

Quaint cottage in a great location

This is an older property, but very clean and quaint . The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was more than adequate. We enjoyed sitting in the patio for people watching on Mandalay Ave. The hot tub was a nice bonus too . We walked to several nearby restaurants for some great meals . Captain Al & his staff were very friendly and helpful our entire stay . Will definitely return here in the future !

Dear Stephen: Sorry to hear the Lemon Cottage was not for you The listing is clear it is a 1925 beach cottage and may be out of date, although many guests comment about the new appliances and great location. . You would have been happier spending more and renting something new which would have been for you. The first sentence of the welcome guide online and the manual welcome book says if the house keeper missed anything please call and another house keeper will be over and clean to your satisfaction. If the rental was really dirty you would not have stayed or you could have called or text so it s not necessary to write a disingenuous review if the place was not for you. Happy Travels. Fortunate to live in Clearwater Beach , my self and first mate get to enjoy swimming in warm water, have congenial neighbors who enjoy the Salt Life, and have the pleasure of meeting families from around the country and world. When come to visit, we hope to show you around, on our golf cart taxi or boat and how to have the best beach vacation every.

Why they chose this property

Most cottages and old beach hotels have been torn down in the past 10 years and replaced with high end expensive hotels. These are the very last few streets left in Clearwater Beach with cottages, private homes that have been converted to vacation rentals. This area has been designated Old Florida District and gives you the feel of years gone by, where you can walk around , say hello to your neighbors, sit on the porch and have drink, and watch the sunset without all the noise and business of South Beach.

What makes this property unique

Enjoy an entire house on the beach side of the street for less than a hotel room at new ritzy hotels. Save a ton on meals with a large family with your new designer kitchen. Also you can walk to the best Tiki Bars on the beach , just two blocks away, and do not need a car. Many of guest return year after year and call the Cottages their second home.
