Arieh is an awesome host. The entire area was left without power after Hurricane Lala, so Arieh worked with us to get another unit elsewhere. 100 percent solid dude.

Perfect for families, would stay again

Location was perfect (away from hustle and bustle, close to Hapuna SP and Mauna Kea Beach). Home was perfect: plenty of space to spread out, thoughtful details, kitchen had everything we needed. Outdoor shower was a hit with everyone. Would book again.

The location is great jumping off point for a lot of activities. The view of the ocean is pretty good, but note that you are right on a major highway. Great stargazing though.

Mountain & Beaches

House was spacious for 4 adults, surprise to have AC which was helpful as kept windows closed because of Hwy noise. Enjoyed use of beach gear, laundry & grill. Location good for quick drive to beaches and unexpected drive up saddle road to Volcano! House was clean and great for cooking.

Beautiful local spot open to the sky, stars and ocean.

If you’re looking for a sacred place on big Island to ground and connect with the land sky and earth look no further. We enjoyed meditating and dancing on the small lawn in the back, which looks over the ocean. The outdoor lanai room is perfect for dry and poetry and a breakfast nook Hoping to return someday Mahalo

I will look for this rental if I’m ever fortunate to visit Big Island again! Plenty of room for private space and family gathering. Kitchen and gas bbq in excellent condition with everything needed. Fridge with inside water dispenser and icemaker great for day trips. We saw whales every morning from yard, but outstanding views just minutes away on the coast from the deck next to the Pu’ukohola Heiau NHS! Whale watch volunteer group there on Tuesday with great binoculars to borrow and lots of info and kid activities.Next door Spencer Beach Park is a gem. Great for picnic, relaxing and swimming.Location was great to visit Kailua-Kona for night snorkel as well as Waipio Valley Shuttle tour and Kohala coast to Polalu. Hawaiian Style Restaurant in Waimea has outstanding breakfast.

We had the best time at Arieh’s Kamuela property. It is our second time staying here and as usual, we had a lovely vacation. But even more amazing was our host ! We were in Kawaihae when a wildfire broke out just up the mountain towards Waimea and we watched it burning rapidly towards our villa. We received a Hawai’i Civil Defense warning on our phone to evacuate immediately and to follow 1st responders instructions. We promptly grabbed a few things and left within minutes. The road to Waimea and down to Kona were already closed so we were sent to North Kohala. It was at 8:40 pm and we were instructed we could go to a shelter in Waimea but routes through Hawi. I called Arieh to let him know about the situation and he told us he had a 3 bedroom home just come available in Volcano and he immediately offered it to us! He went to clean it in the middle of the night and 2 hours later he met us and welcomed us to Volcano! Wow how amazing! He was so gracious and allowed us to stay til we got the all clear back in Kawaihae! The Volcano home by the way is beautiful:). Thank you thank you thank you for your Aloha hospitality . He recommended close by eateries and local markets near the Volcano. He deserved 10 stars ! Thank you for your kindness it made our exciting vacation truly unforgettable !! We will definitely return. Highly recommend him.

So Relaxing

We had such an amazing stay really enjoying the ocean views and having the most relaxing Christmas. The home was clean and welcoming, the 3 bedrooms were perfect for our family. The outdoor shower is awesome, you can stare at the stars and take in the quiet. The kitchen was well supplied and easy to prep meals. Wish we could have stayed longer. Definite recommendation for anyone looking for a quiet relaxing vacation, close to everything but far enough from the hub bub. 5 Stars!!

Nice house with ocean view

We enjoyed our stay. We were looking for a place near Hapuna Beach that wasn’t a resort so this home worked very well. Very clean and had everything we needed for the six of us. Kitchen well equipped. There is a half bath off the lanai so there are really the equivalent of two full baths if you include the outdoor shower which we had to fight for! The outdoor shower was amazing particularly at sunset or at night under the stars. The view is great, but you do need to be prepared for road noise when outside. We also discovered Spencer Beach just a few minutes away which is a lovely beach and park.

Amazingly beautiful!

This property was centrally located to everywhere we needed to be and where we wanted to go. 100% better than a condo. Enough parking and space in the unit to house my entire Ohana. We loved our stay and hope we’re welcomed back the next time we come back. I can’t say how wonderful this stay was. The ease of getting into the house as well as finding its location was terrific. If anyone is looking for an amazing place to stay i would 100% recommend this location. Again thank you so much for showing us to use your Hale and hope to be able to use it again. This is a very comfortable house

We stayed 3 nights here and enjoyed every bit this house had to offer. To me this house (and this island) is more of a retreat, somewhere you can finally calm, reflect, and figure something out. We would come back for a longer-term stay if such a package exists. Again this is a very comfortable house, one reason we would come back to big island and just reset.

Comfortable and quiet.

The home we stood in was very comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood. Everything was as advertised with a few extra perks, supplies such as coffee beans and coffee grinder and plenty of laundry detergent. The house was clean and had plenty of space. There was a fantastic view of the ocean, which was our favorite part of the house. After being busy with activities all day, it was nice to come back to relax. We were very happy and would rent this home again when coming back to the big island of Hawaii.

Great View

This house was the perfect home base for us as we explored the northern part of the island. It's central location was key to us getting a quick start on our day while also giving us a quiet place to relax and recharge in the evenings. The night sky is spectacular and the outdoor shower is a superb start to your day!
