Wildlife note:
Parker Farm is home to a huge variety of birds, deer, herons, raptors, fireflies, Spring Peeper and bullfrogs, turtles, rabbits, and our resident beaver, Miss Dixie. Guests occasionally see her crossing from the pond toward the wooded area near the driveway circle, sometimes with her babies. Please enjoy the wildlife from a respectful distance.
This home is owner-managed, thoughtfully prepared, and cleaned with care. Self check-in is private and easy, and I’m available by message if you need anything during your stay.
House rules:
No smoking inside the home. No parties are permitted under Mebane short-term rental rules. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:30 AM.
Trash:
Please take all bagged trash and recycling to the bins at the end of Parker Farm Road near the mailboxes on Jones Street. The easiest method is to bring it with you every time you leave the property - most guests find it simplest to hang the bag on the side mirror or hold it out the window for the short drive to the bins.
Rural property note:
Parker Farm is a rural North Carolina property, so you may encounter normal country-life elements. Ticks are possible, so long pants and/or tick spray are recommended when walking around the property. Spray is provided under the kitchen sink. Snakes are also possible. I have only seen black rat snakes, which are harmless and help control rodents, and copperheads. Poison ivy is treated regularly, but may still appear in wooded or natural areas.
Neighbor dogs:
If the neighbor’s two small pint-sized pits come onto the property, please do not feed or interact with them. They are friendly, but they do not belong on the property, and feeding them encourages repeat visits.
All are welcome here.
