Welcome to our enchanting Folk Victorian home -- Originally built in the late 1800s, this lovingly maintained historic home offers a unique, character-rich getaway just 25 minutes from downtown Atlanta and 15 minutes from the airport. Set on 3/4 Acres of wooded land with mature trees and a garden, this spacious home offers a peaceful, semi-rural atmosphere with convenient access to city life.

Guests have private use of the home and outdoor areas, though workers may stop by to care for the yard and hens (with advance notice).

Please note:

- The home is not suitable for those seeking a new build with modern and luxury finishes

- This is a historic property, and many original features remain. Some interior doors do not fully latch or lock.

- The property is near train tracks (visitors have found the noise to be minimal, and none have reported issues at night)

- This is our primary home when we are not hosting, so please be respectful of the space and the neighbors

- We do not spray the yard with insecticides, since those also impact beneficial garden critters, but we do encourage guests to bring topical lotions & sprays for personal use. Especially to protect against those pesky ATL mosquitoes.

- Bedrooms are minimally furnished and do not include dressers or vanity tables.

- Decor features may vary from listing photos, especially with seasonal changes

- Early and/or late check-out may be accommodated for an additional fee, if available. Please message us to inquire.

Turn off the lights and lock the doors
For guests staying overnight on Tuesdays, please move trash cart to the curb for Wednesday morning pickup.
Late check-out fees of $25/hour will be assessed, unless given written approval by host (upon request and availability).
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Failing to notify or show before checkout time after the first night of a reservation will result in the cancellation of the remainder of the stay.
Wash all used dishes before the end of your stay.
No shoes in carpeted areas.

The NIGHTMARE began day 2 when the heating and air system went out. The host was very responsive about the situation and sent a handyman and a couple technicians, which required us to drop whatever we were doing several times to meet the repair men. The repair was unable to be completed with us in the home so the host canceled the reservation and our 29 day stay was cut short and we ended up in a hotel. The host LIED about the cancellation reason and blamed us saying it was due to a house-rules-violation. It took weeks and 40 plus hours of phone calls with VRBO for us to receive our partial refund.

Hi Laphonso, I’d like to apologize again that your stay was disrupted—it was an unfortunate and stressful situation. While I respect your experience, I am disappointed to see aspects of it mischaracterized. For future guests, I want to provide context. The HVAC issue arose unexpectedly and despite trying to resolve it, it became clear that the stay would need to be cancelled. Eventually, the cancellation was processed by VRBO with all parties consenting. The “house rules violation” was not initiated by me and when the guest brought it to my attention, I immediately contacted VRBO and relayed their explanation—that it was applied to avoid duplicate financial penalties, and the real reason for cancelling was documented on their end. The delays and confusion that followed were due to inconsistencies within VRBO’s systems and representatives, which unfortunately affected both parties. I spent significant time working with them, submitting extensive documentation to ensure a refund, which is why I'm disappointed by the review. I understand how frustrating it all must have been, and don't take that lightly. I also think it’s important for future guests to know that I responded promptly, communicated transparently, and worked extensively—including overnight across multiple days—to resolve the issue and advocate for a fair outcome. I remain committed to providing a comfortable, well-managed experience and to handling unexpected issues with urgency and care.
