Peace and Comfort

We really enjoyed our stay with JD. The property is beautiful and peaceful and in a great location . The room was clean, bed was comfortable, kitchen was fully equipped, and the bathroom set up was one of the nicest I’ve seen in Costa Rica. JD is an animal lover and did his best to make us and Ziggy feel at home. Looking forward to another stay

This gorgeous property and modern clean home was as described. I could hear the ocean, the birds and monkeys. This was one of the most secure places I have ever stayed. Private from the road, locked entry that I had a key for, new easy to open and close screened windows all around. The beds were so comfortable. The air conditioning was quick but I didn't need it most of the time due to a nice breeze through the rooms. The kitchen was better stocked than most and a delight to cook in then eat al fresco on the covered patio. Art work on the patio & kitchen floors as well as the custom dining table and walls was exquisite. I could walk to a beach in 5 minutes. I walked to Pavones Point via the beach. What a delight. Top that all off with a truly wonderful host that didn't hover but made himself available. I had a ball talking with him and discovering places to visit and things to do. If you truly want to experience Pavones waves, good dining and Cost Rica culture & vibes while having peaceful quiet & modern accommodations, this is the place to book. I'm going back probably many times.

Everything you want in a tropical home and more

We spent 3 amazing days and nights with JD at his beautiful place. The room is surounded by windows, allowing you to feel like you're sleeping in the jungle, with the monkeys and birds and frogs around you. All in the comfort of probably one of the best beds we've slept in.The breeze is so nice in this property that we never even used the A/C.JD was the most amazing host and we ended up spening a lot of time together, and even had the chance to hear him play his music at a local bar. We have no doubt we'll be back here as soon as we can.Pura Vida

I am a professional builder from Aan Francisco, California. I built and remodeled high and homes and commercial work for restaurants and bars for 26 years. I decided to take my talents and skill set and bring him to the jungle to build a unique one of a kind custom high-end house that is full of amenities. I was ready to leave the city life and get more in touch with nature. I so enjoy being in nature is why I chose this property which is surrounded by the jungle. I enjoy, pets, designing, building, writing music, riding motorcycles and surfing.

Why they chose this property

I chose this quiet neighborhood because it lacks business. It is a 100 feet above sea level or 33m, yet as only 5 minute walk to the beach. It makes it a very unique spot in Pavones and very desirable. There are very few houses on the street and the people that do live here are very nice and most are not here all year long. This place is completely zen-like with a peaceful vibe, like no other yet close to town to be in the main thick of
everything the town has to offer. It is the best of both worlds by far. I love it.

What makes this property unique

This property is very unique because it is 33 m or a 100 feet above sea level. Yet it is only a five minute walk to the beach. We lack mosquitoes that the beach has an abundance of and we have a micro climate with a cool ocean breeze during the day and night which makes sleeping and the daytime more enjoyable. This spot is a true rarity in Pavones and very desirable, and I am so grateful I was able to find such a special spot that has an amazing ocean view of the Gulf and The Osa Peninsula. It is also right next to the Higuito river which you can hear running more towards the rainy season when the river fills up which also gives another sound of peace and tranquility along with all the jungle noises. This property does not flood during the rainy season and the road up to the property.You can do with a 2 wheel drive. It's not very long from the main road. Only a hundred and fifty meters.
