Modcabins Asheville is a local family-owned business with 6 new nature-inspired cabins all within 20 minutes of downtown Asheville. Vintage camp meets Scandinavian modern in this new glamping treehouse which shares its lofty location with the state bird, the crimson cardinal.

This romantic getaway adjoins 1000+ acres of conservation land, only 15 minutes from downtown Asheville. Set above an ancient rhododendron canopy, the treehouse provides a luxurious, eco-friendly treetop habitat This brand new heated and air conditioned treehouse and heated outhouse are connected by exterior bridges, creating a minimal environmental impact on the ancient landscape below. Property includes a brand new hot tub, custom outhouse with portajohn emptied twice per week, and 2 camp shower bags for use with heated water from the electric tea kettle. We have a sink with cold water tap inside the cabin.

The open-plan living space includes a kitchen pod with essentials - coffee pot, tea kettle, microwave and sink - a dining booth placed to capture mountain views, a double bed layered with Pendleton blankets, a vintage electric cone fireplace, and sleek wood paneling creating a modern but cozy interior. The oversized windows double as a reading nooks surrounded by curated local novels and area guides to help plan excursions.

Special amenities for guests include a mini fridge with water filter, fresh coffee, tea and s’mores packets. The host also provides a miniature “merch store” where guests can purchase mugs, hats, koozies and other souvenirs.
