Located in Anacortes, this guesthouse is on the waterfront. Anacortes Community Theatre and Anacortes Museum and Maritime Heritage Center are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Jolly Mon Charters and Tulip Town. Childhood Bliss and The Wood Merchant are also worth visiting.
Perched directly above the serene blue-green waters of Skagit Bay, this custom built vacation home will usher you into a relaxing getaway from it all. Floor-to-ceiling windows immediately draw your eyes outside, where you can watch for seals, orcas, gray whales, great blue herons, and bald eagles, with the forests of Deception Pass State Park directly across the water. Whether you're dining at the cozy table, sitting in the red leather reclining chairs, or snuggled up in the luxurious king-size bed, the spectacular view will melt away your everyday stress. A full-size kitchen is stocked with everything you need to prepare your meals, but if you choose to dine out, there are many delightful options in nearby Anacortes and La Conner. Sunny weather graces this area often and there are a couple of Adirondack chairs for you to sit in, while you gaze at nature or relax and read. A full-size washer and dryer are also available, as well as a generously sized shower, complete with a heated towel warmer and radiant floor heating.
No need to bring bottled water! We have a whole house filtration system!
Incredibly close to Deception Pass State Park, there is an abundance of walking and hiking trails within minutes of Kingfisher Cove Hideaway. Walk across the historic Deception Pass Bridge and look east to see where you're staying, or west to gaze at the San Juan Islands and the Salish Sea. In addition to Deception Pass State Park, there are dozens of trailheads to choose from in the Anacortes Community Forest Lands (ACFL), with more than 50 miles of multi-use trails. The harbor-side marinas in Anacortes allow visitors to walk among the docks and look at sailboats and pleasure craft, and the Tommy Thompson Trail takes you along the marinas and across the notable 2,000-foot-long paved trestle spanning picturesque Fidalgo Bay. Hop on a ferry, right from Anacortes, to day-trip to the San Juan Islands. Nestled at the edge of the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains, south Fidalgo Island gets half the amount of rain that Seattle does. And there's no need to take a ferry to get here - an easy one-and-a-half-hour drive from the greater Seattle area ushers you to this fabulous getaway vacation home.

The Hideaway was absolutely blissful. We literally spent hours sitting in comfortable chairs and enjoying the views of Widbey Island just across the straight. It was tranquil beyond belief. The accommodations itself were superb, tastefully decorated and comfortable. Communication with the owner was seamless and pleasant. We very much wish to find opportunities to stay at the hideaway in the future--the entire experience was joy incarnate :-).
Great location with easy access to Anacortes, Whidbey Island and many other area attractions. View from the property is spectacular and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay
Incredibly relaxing, beautiful property with an amazing view. Communication with the host was excellent- very responsive and accommodating. Hoping to stay here again. Highly recommend!
Our hosts were very communicative and answered any questions we had very quickly. Additionally, the home is SO comfortable and has everything one could possibly need! Would absolutely recommend, and we will definitely be returning! Thank you for a great stay!
This little hideaway is just beautiful and so comfortable in every way. Diane and Rich were excellent hosts and were so responsive. Hospitality was shown on every level and we lived are stay here.
What a peaceful stay. The accommodations were very comfortable and the grounds were beautiful with the flowers lining the pathway and the views of the water. We only stayed overnight, but utilized as much as we could including the outdoor firepit and the quick trail leading to the water. Thanks for the hospitality.
From the beautiful vistas through the picture windows to the garden patio with the fire pit, everything was perfect! Kingfisher Cover Hideaway felt private and tucked into the trees which provided views of birds and sea life. A great place to unwind and reconnect. We recommend it to anyone looking for that special place to make new memories! A wonderful place to spend our 30th Wedding Anniversary!
Looking to buy a house in the Anacortes area and saw this beautiful accommodation nearby. The actual place was exactly as advertised and in my mind better than I expected. So peaceful and secluded right on the water. It has made it hard to find anything that compares. I will be back.
Fantastic home, fantastic homeowners, and fantastic stay! We stayed two nights at Kingfisher, and it was absolutely wonderful. The cozy and well-appointed home, the views, and the wildlife all made for an enjoyable and memorable stay. This little tucked away spot on the bluff feels secluded in nature, yet is conveniently close to town. Our favorites were watching the tide come in and out, the jellyfish, and searching for seals - bring binoculars for added seal-watching fun! We also saw crabs, kingfishers, garter snakes, and as a special treat, Elsie Mae the elephant seal at a nearby bay - thanks Diane for the tip! 10 out of 10!
