My name is Sean Kelly. My wife Dahiana and I live here in Puerto Cayo along with our 1 year old daughter Mila and are directly involved with the community. Dahiana is originally from the area and her father was recently running for Mayor of the community. We also have a 20 acre organic farm in the area which you are welcome to visit with us anytime. We originally moved from Marina Del Rey, CA and you might even have caught our House Hunters episode. My mother, Sigrid Tidmore, is the property manager, and all of us have villas and live here on the property.
Why they chose this property
These are brand-new luxury properties located in a gated community with 24-hr onsite guardians and only a 5 minute walk into town. Cayo offers a small-town-community sense of safety and lets you be about as busy as you choose to. We have a small local grocery store, an abundant fresh produce market and numerous restaurants. Cayo does have a 24/7 medical clinic for anything typical. All in all, anything you need is offered locally. If for some reason you find something specific you need that is not available, it's a gorgeous and quick drive up the coast to Manta.
What makes this property unique
Puerto Cayo is uniquely situated in close proximity (20 min or less) to some of the biggest tourist destinations on the Ecuadorean coast. At the same time, it maintains a relaxed island-like atmosphere that is casual and doesn't leave you feeling like you landed into party town. You can watch the whales migrate off the balcony here and if you feel like fancy dining or big city tours, it's a quick drive away. No problem if you don't have a car, we can arrange a personal driver or there's a great bus system in Ecuador. Enjoy it, you have locals here to help you.
