Charming 2-bedroom cottage on the canal in Jamaica Beach.

Small and tidy dog-friendly cottage on the canal:
For those of you who are looking for a place where all the furniture is new and everything matches, this is not it. Instead, we have a boat dock, 3 kayaks, and an outdoor shower and grill. A public boat launch is just around the corner (Please contact me if you wish to launch a boat. I will have to get a permit for you.). We also have a deck for outdoor dining, gathering with friends, reading a book, watching the birds fly by, or fishing and/or just watching the fish. Our house has a renovated kitchen and bath upstairs, along with 2 bedrooms: one queen and one double. There is another bath downstairs (connected to the upstairs with an outdoor staircase), with the laundry and an extra bed (twin). The downstairs room was a golf cart garage but is now a multi-functional room. Both the laundry and twin bed are elevated due to water fluctuations in the canal, so a step stool is available! But guess what?! You are right on the water, and that is lovely! AND, more to the point, a short drive of 1 mile gets you to the the beach (Gulf of Mexico) and all the sand, shells (maybe) and saltwater you would like!

Learn about aviation at the Lone Star Flight Museum in Galveston, or about locomotion at the Galveston Island Railroad Museum, which has some of the largest restored exhibits in the US. Be sure to stop at the Pleasure Pier for carnival games, or check out The Strand Historic District's shops and restaurants.
Visit Moody Gardens, a nearby amusement park with educational exhibits and varied attractions, to see an IMAX movie or watch the fish in the aquarium. For an authentic ride, take an hour-long cruise on the replica Colonel Paddlewheel Boat. There's even a golf course where you can book tee times!

Great place to stay! Love the fact that it’s pet friendly and kayaks are available for use. The main house is super cozy and the shower is really nice. The location is great as well. We were able to catch some blue crab right off the boat slip which is always fun.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

We had the best time at Claire’s home, spending many hours relaxing on the porch overlooking the canal. The house is well decorated and the AC is great. Claire was easy to communicate with and we’d highly recommend a stay at her place!

It is a lovely cottage! We truly enjoyed our stay, spending time on the newly renovated deck, really big one! With beautiful view over the canal:) It is a covered deck so life saver during summertime!:) Great place for fishing from the lower deck as well. Cottage is really clean, very cozy, has everything we needed to relax and open 2026, including plenty of board games! Highly recommended! And host Claire was really helpful making sure we have everything we need:) thank you!

This is a really awesome place to stay! It was very cute and clean and had everything we needed. It was in a quiet, beautiful area. We loved that it was right on the water and they had kayaks to just paddle away in! We would go out at sunset and just enjoy the view! There is an awesome clawfoot tub to just soak and relax in! The owner was awesome in making sure that we arrived and had everything that we needed. We will be back very soon!!

Much needed get away

This was a much needed vacation with my family! The kids, my husband and I absolutely adored the location and the canal fishing…definitely will be back! Several drive on beach access points…community pool too! The Host is absolutely amazing above and beyond at all times and communication 110%! Don’t pass this one up! Absolutely perfect!
