About this property
Hotel Calibama Cozy beach charm. Super close to Hangout, Pet Friendly!
Welcome to Hotel CaliBama, a stylish and spacious condo, perfectly situated at the Regatta Complex in the heart of LA! (Lower Alabama) Gulf Shores.
Its is managed by owners, Billy and Crystal, who are both Navy Veterans from Alabama, but were stationed in San Diego for many years. They take great pride in delivering personal service that can be hard to get when renting from a property management company!
This prime location on the Gulf of America puts you on the beach side of the street, just steps from the sugar-white sands and emerald waters of the Gulf—ideal for soaking up the sun or catching the electric vibes of the Hangout Music Festival, only a short stroll away. Whether you're here for a festival getaway, a family vacation, or a relaxing retreat, this condo’s unbeatable proximity to the action makes it a standout choice.
Sleeping up to 9 guests, Hotel CaliBama offers plenty of room to unwind. The condo features two private bedrooms for peaceful retreats, plus a cozy loft that adds extra sleeping space and charm. With a thoughtfully designed layout, everyone can spread out comfortably after a day at the beach or exploring Gulf Shores’ vibrant scene. Step onto your private balcony to enjoy a partial water view—a perfect spot for morning coffee or evening cocktails as you take in the salty breeze and distant Gulf vistas.
Located on the beach side of Gulf Shores Parkway, you’re mere minutes from top attractions like the National Shrimp Festival grounds and Gulf State Park, yet tucked into the serene Regatta Complex for a touch of tranquility. This condo blends convenience, comfort, and coastal appeal, making Hotel CaliBama your ideal home base for an unforgettable Gulf Shores escape!
Our Host Fees include cleaning and one parking pass. If another pass is needed, it can be purchased for $45 onsite from the Regatta Complex staff. There is a limit of two passes.
The Unit# 303C. The Regatta Complex has covered parking, charcoal BBQ grills, outdoor showers, elevator, and a heated pool!
Regatta rules only allow one dog, and no cats, especially lions or tigers. Please don't try and smuggle in extra dogs, cats or alligators. A non refundable pet cleaning fee is $125.
Typical small soaps and shampoos, towels and linens are all provided.
WiFi Included. Ok this is a stretch, WiFi is provided by the HOA and is crappy at best in the entire complex. I highly recommend making sure you have a mobile hotspot if you're wanting to stream YouTube TV, NetFlix, or any other streaming service on the SmartTV.

About the host
Hosted by Billy Eatmon

After wrecking more marriages than Jim Beam, I met my wife while we were both in the Navy in Virginia Beach in the late 90's. I'm from Southern Illinois and she is a Baldwin County Alabama native. True story- Her dad was the Sheriff and told me he'd kill me if I "took his daughter to California and left her without health insurance."
We spent many years in San Diego and fell in love with Southern California.
Fast forward to now, we live in Alabama, working hard to get the kids we so dearly love to move out as we inch closer to retirement. We bought our condo, named it the Hotel CaliBama, and would love to share it with you.

Why they chose this property
We love that The Hotel CaliBama is across the street from a liquor store and some great, authentic, Louisiana Cuisine and walking distance to the Hangout. We also love the slow, sleepiness of the area in the winter!
What makes this property unique
It is a low rise, low density unit that has been there for many years. The Regatta Complex is quaint compared to the massive high rise units. It is what we call "stumbling distance" from the Hangout here in LA.
