Wade was an awesome host! He was responsive for anything that we needed during our trip. The house has a fantastic layout and plenty of room for a group of 15. The location is ideal as well!
We stayed at The Royal Explorer cabin house, with a group of 6 families, and all of us unanimously say, we loved the place and the experience. Firstly, the host is an extraordinary host with fantastic hospitality, and the house itself is a premium experience for groups of 20 people, with lots of room and beautiful views of the mountains. Its a definite worth and a must stay at the mountains, if somebody is thinking about visiting the Snowshoe mountain.
Everything is great. Neat and clean house, except for the sliding doors for Bathrooms. It’s better to have normal doors instead for the safety of children, as doors are more likely to fall off & can lead a serious injury to anyone.
The host was awesome at answerimg our concerns (which were few). The amenities were good, with the exception of the sauna, which wasnt working. Our host stated that he eould give us a refund for the sauna not working. We were most disappointed with the lack of cell service and wifi signal. The Snowshoe Resort as a whole should really do somethimg about that. At one point one of our party was separated from the rest. It was hours before we found him. There is no cell service unless you're at the village. All that to say, we had a wonderful time and the Royal Explorer Lodge is an excellent place. We certainly enjoyed our time there.
We stayed at this beautiful, spacious log cabin in Snowshoe, WV, perfect for a family gathering (we had nearly 15 kids). The cabin was well-equipped with plenty of household supplies, cozy wooden furniture, and fantastic entertainment options—arcade games, a pool table, air hockey, and more. A highlight was the outdoor smoker; we barbequed chicken over wood, and it turned out amazing. The mountain views, sunsets, and clear night skies with shooting stars made the experience even more special. On the downside, some windows and porch doors were covered with plastic due to unfinished maintenance, which limited natural views and airflow. We also noticed water leakage from the bathrooms, which caused some inconvenience but wasn’t a dealbreaker.Overall, despite these minor issues, this cabin offered a wonderful stay. I’d give it an excellent review and would gladly return.
House was beautiful - great location, beautiful valley views and had everything our large family group needed. The host was responsive and helpful. Look forward to staying there again.
