Historic tranquil home in northeast Milwaukee's Downer Woods area steps to UWM

Experience Milwaukee like a local in this 2-bedroom house. This enchanting property listed on the National Historic Register is a side by side duplex in a residential area with one half available (no common areas). Downstairs is a comfortable living room with large natural gas fireplace, a dining room with seating for 6, a fully equipped kitchen and full downstairs bath with shower and full size laundry. Upstairs features 1 queen bed in the front bedroom and 1 full bed in the middle bedroom. There is also a music room with vinyl and a growing collection of records. There is a full bath upstairs with tub/shower, . All bedding, towels, and soaps are provided with plenty of extras.

Off street parking is limited by size, free on street parking is available but an on-line permit is needed. I can help with that.

With amenities like fiber WiFi, streaming 50 inch TV, AC, private patio with gas fire pit and and Webber grill guests can relax and unwind in this cozy space. Book now and enjoy everything this house has to offer.

This property provides a unique and tranquil stay 8 blocks from Lake Michigan and 5 blocks from the Milwaukee River and bike path. Located a block from UWM and close to Oakland Ave dining and shops.

Downtown entertainment and museums are 3 miles away. Enjoy Lake Michigan lakefront and beaches close by. Milwaukee Bus routes on adjacent streets.

Wonderful space, and even more wonderful Hosts(David and Ellan), we loved having our meals on the back patio, wonderful flowers, Ellan and David were right next door, and we loved visiting with them, when we arrived, they were so welcoming, and they had stocked the fridge with many yummy items, Staying here made our trip even more memorable, Would stay again any time

A beautiful castle/house that is cozy and full of charm. It was also well stocked with all the comforts needed while we were away from home. The owners are onsite and very nice too! It was the perfect place to stay during our wedding in Milwaukee

Comfortable and well-appointed home in a quiet neighborhood. The hosts are lovely people and were very accommodating. We're looking forward to staying at this rental again next year.

The best VRBO I have ever stayed at.

Our Milwaukee trip for a family 50th Wedding Anniversary was made even more special by this truly lovely place. It exceeded our expectations with its thoughtful touches, like breakfast items ready in the fridge. We loved being able to walk to restaurants and simply enjoyed the beauty of the house itself. A truly wonderful experience!
