Perfect place to stay for a relaxing north shore experience! The space was so clean and perfect, plenty of room for our group of 10. Kitchen was stocked, plenty of beach gear and towels. Nicely air conditioned, each room has its own unit. Beautiful space, we would definitely stay here again.
We loved this rental! I was extremely clean and new! Perfectly comfortable for our group of 8 adults. It was quite rainy the week we were there and so the 3 couches were perfect for watching the NCAA tournament! We will be going back to this rental!
This home is absolutely beautiful, clean, and in a perfect, quiet location. The PCC, beach, and shopping center are all within a short walk. The spacious kitchen is perfect for family meals, with everything you need to cook any meal. It is a first floor rental, so you do get some noise from other renters above. We had no issues during our stay, and Nika was very communicative leading up to arrival with questions I had. 100/10 would stay here again.
Positives: clean, comfy, walking distance to beach and Polynesian cultural center. Food land supermarket is close too. 1st floor unit. Full kitchen. AC in every room. Able to text owner with quick responses. Parking provides 2 spots and is easy access. Negatives: none. Really would come back and want to stay at the same place every year.
Host was very responsive when I had questions. The house was beautiful and clean. We loved walking to a nearby beach and used all the beach supplies provided in the shed on the property. We always used the hose outside the property to clean sand off before entering the property. We loved our stay here!
Beautifully remodeled home. Was very clean. Pay attention there is only one cooling unit in the living room and all the bedrooms just have multiple fans (no a/c in bedrooms). If you are used to a/c it might be warmer than you prefer, but we were able to sleep comfortably.
Our week-long stay in Hawaii truly couldn’t have been better. Even with what was said to be the biggest storm of the century hitting during our trip, everything turned out amazing—and that’s entirely thanks to our incredible host. From the moment we arrived, the home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and felt brand new. We had a group of nine, and there was more than enough space for everyone to feel comfortable and welcomed. The open-concept layout of the kitchen, dining, and living areas made it easy for all of us to gather, relax, and spend quality time together. Each bedroom was spacious, with very comfortable beds, and all linens and blankets were fresh and clean. The bathrooms were not only beautiful but well-stocked with both bath and beach towels, which was a huge plus. One of the highlights was the beach equipment available—we were able to use it every day, which made our trip even more enjoyable. What truly set this experience apart was how far our host went above and beyond. When the storm knocked out power for over a day, they showed up immediately with a generator, lanterns, and lights to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. They made a stressful situation feel completely seamless. The location is also fantastic—everything is within walking distance, which made getting around easy and convenient. We are beyond grateful for such a memorable stay and will absolutely be coming back. 10/10—highly recommend to anyone visiting Hawaii!
The size of the place was bigger than the photos made it look. Looks brand new. Loved the kitchen and living room. The only problem is the lack of AC in the rooms. It was too hot in Hawaii when we came to not have AC. If it were cooler I’m sure it would be fine since they have fans. But if you are a hot sleeper like me, this will be a problem.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We have installed air conditioning in every room of the home.
We enjoyed our stay at this property. The home was beautifully decorated and had lovely finishes. The living room had ample space for everyone to gather. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. There was plenty of bed linens, pillows, and extra blankets. We loved the sand free beach towels available to use. We appreciated the beach chairs and umbrellas available. The parking was easy and right in front of the unit. We were even able to easily park the large transit van we rented. We had a very comfortable temperature in the home the entire time. There are floor and ceiling fans throughout to help circulating the ac unit located in the living room. The living room ac unit works wonderfully. Tip! We left a few fans in the hallways pointed to the bedrooms to bring the cool air into them just in case it got hot during the day, which may have been overkill but we like a nice cool house while we sleep and this was perfect for us. The neighborhood and neighboring units were quiet and it was such a peaceful little spot to rest between trips around the island. There’s an upstairs neighbor and we didn’t hear one single footstep or sound from up there the entire 5 days we were there. We did see them park and walk up a few times. We didn’t feel like there were any issues with privacy, the neighbors are close but the bedrooms all have curtains and when we wanted a view we explored the island! Overall communication was easy and so was check in and out.

Thank you so much, Julie, for your thoughtful review. We’re so glad your family enjoyed the space, amenities, and peaceful atmosphere. You were wonderful guests—respectful, communicative, and considerate throughout your stay. We truly appreciate how well you cared for the home, and you’re welcome back anytime!
We booked the house for our out of town guests from NZ, Australia, Tonga and Mainland who were here to attend our son's wedding. The home was perfect for our needs. The beds were very comfortable. It was clean and feels brad new so we made sure we left it in the same condition. I thought the parking would be an issue but we had 2 large SUV and managed to not have any issue parking at all. The neighbors were nice and kept to themselves and didn't make an issue about the extra noise. We were mindful of them but surprisingly we didnt hear them and they didn't here us. The owner came 2x to unlock the door handle for us. Some of the people in our group didnot follow the memo NOT to lock the bottom handle. They responded right away and came to our rescue. They also made sure the garbage bins were rolled out to the road on pickup days. The kitchen is amazing. It is perfect for a nice family style dinner. I would suggest some large serving bowls and dishes some platters fitting for that beautiful kitchen. We love cooking and we ate at home most of the time we were here. There is an abundance of towels and microfiber beach towels. We really enjoyed not limiting to just 1 towel per person. We really enjoyed our stay and the closeness fo Foodland. We walked everywhere too since it was close to everything. Thank you so much and i would book this home again.

Thank you for your thorough review. We appreciate all feedback and strive to find ways to improve our guests experience. We hope to be able to host your group again in the future!
It is listed as an “elegant” home but that is deceptive. There are nice finishes, but it is part of a multi-unit. This is problematic because it is also directly adjacent to other apartments. Due to the surrounding areas, it is necessary to keep the curtains closed due to neighbor views and foot traffic next door. There is only one AC unit in the living from area. We tried to use fans to help cool the bedrooms and bathrooms but this left the living area much colder than rest of the area. It was impossible to cook the bathrooms, especially after showers. There is no outdoor space, so we felt confined to the overly cold living area with the curtains closed. This was a big concern traveling with our 80 year old father who couldn’t join us at the beach. We planned five days, but the space was not working. I reached out to the host to ask for a refund if we cancelled and ended early. She offered 50% of the unused nights. The experience was so bad we were willing to incur cost to book another location with the 50% refund. The host updated the booking and said the refund would be issued upon morning check out. We booked another place and left after two nights. The next day, after leaving, we were told she reconsidered the refund and is not obligated to give it. We would not have left without her offer of a 50% refund. It was her offer and she changed the booking and and is still refusing the refund. Be careful booking this location.

Thank you for your review. I’d like to provide a clear and respectful response to offer accurate context regarding this reservation, and transparency for future guests to consider.
This reservation was made with full acknowledgment of our strict cancellation policy, which does not allow refunds within 7 days of arrival. However, I understand that comfort and expectations are personal, so I try to be accommodating when concerns arise.
Upon arrival, the guests requested to inspect the home before the scheduled check-in time, while my cleaning team was still actively preparing the space. After advising them to please return at check in time they insisted on entering to inspect and stated that the elderly woman needed to use the restroom, so we felt pressured to let them in. The inspection was completed while the home was still being mopped, and sanitized, and all guests entered with the elderly woman, and all were wearing shoes. We were courteous and allowed them to fully evaluate the home. No issues about the home were raised at that time. The guests then returned later at the scheduled check-in time and stayed for two nights without expressing concerns about the home or unmet expectations.
After the second night, they reached out asking to cancel the rest of their stay, stating that the space did not meet their needs—specifically citing the lack of outdoor space and the issue of having to close the curtains to keep the sun out. These features are clearly outlined in the listing.
In an effort to resolve the matter fairly and quickly, and feeling pressured, I initially offered a 50% refund for unused nights, even though it went against the cancellation policy. After reviewing their concerns more carefully—by checking the listing, confirming with my cleaning team, and reassessing the situation—I realized the home had been accurately represented and the concerns did not reflect a misrepresentation. on my end. I contacted VRBO support and was reassured that I did not break any rules by initially offering a refund, and that I could still stick to the policy that was agreed to. I reached back out to communicate that I could not justify the 50% refund, but I was still willing to offer a smaller goodwill refund. That offer was declined.
I acknowledge that I should have paused and reviewed the situation more thoroughly before offering a partial refund, I acted in good faith, trying to be flexible in a difficult situation. I also regret acting under pressure rather than pausing to look into the unreasonable reqeust.
While I understand the guests were disappointed, I believe I responded with fairness, transparency, and a willingness to help—even beyond what was required. Our home is regularly praised for its cleanliness, spacious layout, and thoughtful amenities, and I remain committed to maintaining high standards and clear communication with every guest. I take pride in hosting with integrity, and I trust that future guests will see the care and transparency reflected in both my listing and my communication. I wish these guests all the best in future vacation rentals, but also hope that hosts remain aware, and learn from my situation.
