Hi I'm Carol,
I moved to the USA from the UK in the early 80's to manage a thoroughbred racehorse farm .
My husband Steve was also in the horse racing industry, and we enjoyed racing all over the USA, until we retired in 2010.
Trail riding is a hobby I've always enjoyed, and no better place than the Gila , with over 3 million acres to explore ( a work in progress ! ) and plenty of wildlife to see.
Being in the middle of trophy elk country, herds pass by most days - spectacular sight.
I took up polo a few years ago and enjoy playing ranch polo at the local club in the mountains, during the summer months.
We love to travel to different countries and to meet new people, so having the guest quarters here made this the perfect next move!

Why they chose this property
We searched several states looking for somewhere to retire , and when we came upon Catron Co in New Mexico, it was a no brainer!
We call this "our little peace of heaven" and hope that once you've visited you will feel the same !
This area has a lot of wild west history, and just a close hike away you'll find amazing petroglyphs , remains of native American Indian pit houses, pottery shards and even arrowheads !
