This was the first time I used VRBO. I wasn’t sure what to expect. Steven had everything so streamlined! The house was clean, comfortable and made our visit to West Des Moines to spend Christmas with our adult children so relaxing!

This was a wonderful stay. The host was quick on response and the house was perfect for what we needed. We ultimately just needed a place to sleep as we were out and about majority of the day. Would recommend this place and will be staying here again next time we are in town! :)

The booking process was a bit crazy due to the owner needing to change the price since the website wasn’t working. Then check-in was easy. When we got to the home there was a smell of smoke. We felt we should have been warned since one member of our party has severe asthma and the smoke caused issues. Also the kitchen is not stocked in a way that is functional. There are no cookie sheets, dishes that can go in the microwave, or larger bowls or hot pads. The dishes that are there have metal in them meaning they can’t be microwaved. The unit was broom swept clean. While there is an outside space there is no patio furniture. The grill would be useless since there are no grilling tools. The location was great. But the house looks very unkempt from the exterior. We wanted a comfortable house for a reading retreat and the house worked for that purpose but I wouldn’t stay at this house again.
