The Weatherwax Preserve is a 121-acre area with a 1.2-mile loop trail which winds through the forest and skirts Duck Lake. The Oyhut Wildlife Area is part of the larger Johns River Wildlife Area and is known for its waterfowl hunting and birding opportunities. And don’t miss the beautiful ocean front High Dunes Trail.
LEARN about the fauna and flora of Ocean Shores at the Ocean Shores Interpretive Center School, a non-profit center like a museum with tours and displays on the history, geography, wildlife, shipwrecks, the sea and more…. And don’t miss the quaint Ocean Shores Library or the Ocean Shores Visitor Information Center!
