The Hills is perfectly located in the heart of the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail, surrounded by some of Southern Illinois’ most beautiful natural landmarks. Just minutes from Shawnee National Forest, Giant City State Park, and several local lakes, our property offers easy access to hiking, kayaking, biking, and wine tasting. We chose this area because it blends adventure with serenity—and we think you’ll fall in love with it just like we did.

The Hills Cabins & Campground offers a peaceful retreat nestled on 42 private acres in the heart of Southern Illinois. What makes our property truly unique is the blend of natural beauty and thoughtful amenities—two stocked ponds perfect for fishing, private trails winding through the woods for hiking and exploring, and the incredible convenience of having a winery and restaurant right on-site. Guests can spend the day kayaking nearby lakes, sipping wine next door at Feather Hills Vineyard, or enjoying sunset views by the firepit.
