Welcome to the Winthrop Carter House! Our historic country inn was built eleven years prior to the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1765 and stands as one of the oldest and continuously operating inns in New Hampshire. Our serene and peaceful estate-like property offer the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Stroll through our beautiful perennial gardens, relax with family and friends in our well-appointed inn and enjoy an enchanting country getaway with us!

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please take out all trash to the dumpster in the front driveway, make sure the fridge is empty, leave the sink free of dishes, and start the dishwasher before you go.
If any patio furniture/inside furniture was moved during your stay, please move it back to where it was at check in.
Please gather all used towels and place in the laundry room downstairs off the kitchen.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
