Green Anda's Homestay - Community-Based Ecotourism in Ujung Kulon National Park
The homestay is equipped with a fan and a comfortable bed. A terrace directly facing the river under the lush and peaceful coconut trees with the nuance of a Sundanese native village. Our homestay is located not far from the beach which can be reached by traditional fishing boat crossing the river or by walking through the community's rice fields.
Green Anda's is a sustainable ecotourism project operating in Ujungjaya Village, Pandeglang, Banten. We organize community-based ecotourism activities involving local communities living in villages around the buffer zone of Ujung Kulon National Park. One of our main strategies is to empower youth and women through environmental and cultural tourism activities and to raise public awareness about environmental conservation. We work with rural communities to support local guides, helping to connect them with off-the-beaten-track adventurers seeking authentic jungle trekking, diving, fishing and cultural experiences in the buffer zone of Ujung Kulon National Park. We strongly believe that community-based ecotourism can help protect Ujung Kulon’s pristine forests and wildlife, while helping to improve the quality of life for the people living on the edge of the forest.
