Feel at home! Our apartment offers all the features for your comfort and safety. The key will be sent on the day of your arrival, at 14h. If you need something, our team is available from Sunday to Sunday, from 8h to 20h!

Enjoy a spectacular view of the Sugar Loaf, one of the most iconic postcards of Rio and Brazil! Taking the cable car is an unforgettable experience, revealing breathtaking views of the city and Guanabara Bay. Our apartment offers coziness and silence, being at the same time connected with everything that the neighborhood offers: hospitals, transport (bus, subway, taxi, bicycles Itaú), commerce and services. The residential building is safe and cozy, perfect for families and friends!

Our apartment on the 12th floor (front view, 5 minutes from the beach) has 1 bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom. We offer lock with key, double bed, bedding and bath, air-conditioning, TV, blackout curtain, iron and hair dryer, wardrobe or macaw, sofa, full kitchen, sanitary shower and gas hot water.

We have private parking nearby. We lend portable cot (for the apartment and car) and baby bedding, plus beach chairs (request 1 day before or withdraw in our store). The change of bed linen and bath is made every 7 days (request 1 day before).

CHECKIN & CHECKOUT

- Check-in is done remotely, with key, from 2PM to 5PM.

- If you need a different time, please let us know as soon as possible. If you do not have a guest, we love to help!

- On the day of your arrival, at 1PM, we will send chekin information. It is important that you have Wi-fi to receive them.

- Guests need to be identified, for everyone’s safety, so when 2 days are missing for their arrival, we will reinforce the photo request of documents. Don’t worry, your data will be protected in light of the LGPD.

- Checkout is autonomous, just turn off the appliances and close the door before leaving. Our maid will arrive at 12PM to clean your accommodation for the next family.

- If you need a late checkout, please let us know as soon as possible. If you do not have a guest later, we love to help!

HISTORY OF BOTAFOGO AND CULTURE

Botafogo, one of the most charming and traditional neighborhoods in Rio de Janeiro, has a rich history and intrinsically linked to the city’s own history. It is believed that the history of Botafogo is confused with the very history of the foundation of the city of Rio de Janeiro. It was exactly on the hill "Cara de Cão", where today is located the Fortress of São João, at the foot of the Sugar Loaf, that Estácio de Sá founded the city in 1565. At that time, what we now know as Botafogo was an integral part of the newly founded city.

The Evolution of the Neighborhood

Centuries XVII and XVIII: The neighborhood was slowly occupied by an elite fleeing from the city center, seeking a quieter location overlooking the bay.

19th Century: Botafogo became a summer resort for the carioca elite, with the construction of large mansions and farms.

20th Century: With the urbanization of the city, Botafogo turned into a residential neighborhood, with the construction of buildings and the arrival of new social classes.

Over the years, Botafogo has undergone several transformations, but always kept its identity and charm. Today, it is a neighborhood that brings together people of different social classes, with a vibrant cultural life, a diverse gastronomy and a privileged location.

The name Botafogo: They say that the neighborhood was named in 1590, when the lands were sold to João Pereira de Sousa - known as "Botafogo", for having been head of artillery of the most powerful Portuguese warship of the time, the Galeão Botafogo.1

Rua São Clemente: For a long time, Rua São Clemente was considered the most noble street in Botafogo, housing the residences of the coffee barons.

O Bondinho: The arrival of the bondinho contributed to the urbanization of the neighborhood and facilitated the access of its residents to the city center.
