About this property

Mountain Cottage with stunning spectacular views, peaceful and safe

This traditional Portuguese cottage is set on a mountain estate with breathtaking views all the way down to the south coast surrounded by native trees and plants. It has been refurbished to a high standard with three bedrooms, two bathrooms including one en suite. A well equipped kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge and separate freezer and all other convenience items. The sitting room is well equipped for six persons with internet access and television with many channels and an indoor dining table. A barbecue area for a perfect place to have lunch or dinner, with outdoor areas for eating undercover or in the sun. A secluded pool (5m x 3.5m, overall 1metre deep) ideal for cooling off on those hot summer days. Well located within 10mins of the old town of Monchique, a town where time stands still. An ideal location for that get-away holiday, whether it's soaking up the sun, hiking in the hills, cycling or simply just relaxing by the pool with a book. It is close to the Autodrome, great fr Motor GP.

Peaceful property away from the madding crowd

A wonderful place to relax and unwind. Tessa and Trevor were so welcoming and incredibly helpful. A stunning vista over the surrounding countryside with the scent of eucalyptus all around. A true home from home.

Perfect holidays in Algarve

We had an wonderful vacation at Casa Andorinha ! Trevor and Francesca are really kind and welcoming people who gave us plenty of advice on things to do in the area. We particularly loved Sagres and Cabo do Sao Vicente. We also really liked Praia do Amado on the west coast. The food in Algarve in fantastic ; we also cooked at home for diners and used the BBQ every day, it was really nice. The view from the house is absolutely stunning (much more that we can see on the pictures). We will definitely come back !

Fantastic holidays

Our stay in Monchique was amazing. The house has a magic view on the coast, is very (very) quiet and very well equipped. Perfect for a family with three children. The hosts are lovely, very attentive and at your disposal for any question, help or service. They make you feel at home. Our kids have one word: come back! Thanks a lot T&T!

Beautiful cottage, great pool and stunning view overlooking the Algarve coastline. A hidden gem! Our family had a great 2-week holiday and we didn't really want to leave... Monchique est l’endroit rêvé pour se ressourcer et profiter pleinement de ses vacances dans l’Algarve. La maison de nos charmants hôtes est parfaite pour une grande famille (spacieuse, terrasse, piscine etc...). Nicher sur les hauteurs de Monchique/Foia, la vue est époustouflante, on en prend plein les yeux.... Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Francesca und Trevor empfangen - die beiden sind super Gastgeber und immer hilfsbereit! Das Haus ist super sauber, top gepflegt, großzügig und mit einer überragenden Ausstattung versehen. Der Blick von der Terrasse über die Wälder bis hin zur Küste ist sensationell. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Absolute Weiterempfehlung!

Großartiges Landhaus

Wer die Ruhe liebt, ist hier richtig: das Haus ist sehr sauber, die Küche ist großzügig ausgestattet, das Anwesen bietet viel Platz, die teils überdachte Terrasse ermöglicht herrliche Mahlzeiten an der frischen Luft mit einem überwältigendem Ausblick. Bei guter Sicht ist das Meer gut zu erkennen. Der Pool ist mit einem Meter Tiefe gut zum Abkühlen, aber nicht zu tief für kleine Schwimmanfänger. Und das alles garniert mit der Herzlichkeit und Fürsorge der Vermieter, die immer für Fragen und Wünsche offen sind, denen aber auch die Privatsphäre der Urlauber wichtig ist. Einfach toll!

Holiday with a view

Very nice vacation home and wonderful hosts. The house is very well equipped and all amenities you may possibly need are there. The views from the terrace are stunning! Beautiful region to visit (flora /fauna/ geology. It is also an i deal 'eagles nest' to plan excursions to the Algarve and West coast, There are plenty of good restaurants in the vicinity.
