Whitefish North Star Ranch Cabin 3 is a charming property, nestled on a peaceful and private 40-acre plot, providing a serene wilderness experience while conveniently located eight miles away from downtown Whitefish. Its proximity to the popular eateries, shopping and attractions of Whitefish makes it an ideal choice. Additionally, the Whitefish Resort and Whitefish Lake are situated nearby.
DURING THE WINTER MONTHS a 4x4 vehicle is required to access the property in the snow.
With 685 square feet, the cozy cabin has been remodeled and boasts two bedrooms and one bathroom, accommodating up to two guests. Access to the front door is via exterior stairs, leading directly into the main living area that comprises a comfortable sitting area and a kitchenette. The living room space features a queen-size sleeper sofa, a 55" Smart TV, and a bistro table with seating for two. This space is relaxing and inviting with plenty of natural light.
The kitchenette is well-equipped with essential appliances and utensils, including a refrigerator/freezer, a two-burner stovetop, a Keurig coffee maker, and a microwave/convection oven combo. You'll have everything needed to prepare tasty meals and snacks.
In the winter, downhill skiing at Whitefish Mountain Resort provides 3,000+ skiable acres, 14 lifts with terrain for all skill levels and stunning views. The resort was recently ranked #3 in the West by Ski Magazine readers! There are plenty of other winter activities from snowmobiling, cross country skiing, ice fishing, hiking, snowshoeing and more. Of course, you'll also want to explore downtown Whitefish eateries and galleries and don't miss Winter Carnival with a parade and skijoring!
In the summer, enjoy all the watersports imaginable at Whitefish Lake, or any of the 100+ lakes & rivers within 100 miles, including Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi in the lower 48! Whitefish Mountain Resort also provides endless activities such as mountain biking, hiking, zip-lining, ropes courses, alpine slides, and scenic chair or gondola rides (with Glacier National Park views). Speaking of Glacier National Park, it's only 45 minutes away from Whitefish! Don't miss the breathtaking Going-To-The-Sun road, Lake McDonald, and 70+day hikes! You'll also want to take advantage of the Whitefish Trail system with 43 miles of hiking & biking trails, as well as great restaurants, art galleries, breweries, distilleries, a train museum, golf courses and local events such as Huckleberry Days, farmer's markets, rodeos and Under the Big Sky music festival!
Getting around Whitefish and to Whitefish Mountain Resort is a breeze with the FREE snow bus! The snow bus is a free shuttle service during peak winter and summer seasons. There are stops all around town and on the mountain. Whitefish also has Uber, Lyft and Taxis.
