This was a scam. I’ve never experienced this before but there was someone living at the place and there was no communication with the host at all. I will never rent with VRBO again as I’ve had different problems before. They were, however, responsive when I called them so I have to hand it to them for that. How can VRBO allow hosts without better checks on them?
