We had an excellent stay at the Cabin in Joseph. There were a lot of details we liked about this cabin and overall it was a great place for us to call home base as we hiked in the mountains. We would certainly return to this place and highly recommend to anyone needing a place in the area.
The cabin was nicely appointed, and the amenities for our dog were a plus. She was fine sleeping apart from us downstairs. Nice kitchen and bathroom amenities, and the fireplace was cozy — and ready to light!

Wonderful little cabin. It was just me and only slept there while visiting family. Very comfortable and cozy. Has everything you need and so easy to walk everwhere. Thank you for creating such a great space.

I'm so glad you loved your stay. Come back and see us again in the fall--in our opinion, the BEST time to be here!
We hesitate leaving a good review because we are afraid to let everyone know how great this place is! But truthfully, it is great. And we kind of hope you don’t go there. Not really, but kind of…

About the host
Hosted by Stephanie Anderson Stroup
We've been hosts since 2014--and it started with the idea of sharing spaces and places. It still is, but now we love meeting new people and making new friends--which we do time and time again through our hosting experiences.
Why they chose this property
We love Joseph--it's a wam, charming, mountain town in NE Oregon. We chose to purchase in the town of Joseph instead of at the head of the lake so that we could be close to restaurants, shops, etc. And, Joseph get a lot more sunshine than the head of the lake, which is tucked into the elbow of mountains, causing it to go into shadows early in the day.
What makes this property unique
The McCully Cabin came off of the historic Zacharias Ranch where the cabin was imagined and created. The gorgeous hand hewn logs were painted white to make it feel spacious, and we filled the cabin with everything to make it feel both earthy and luxurious. It's gorgeous. And because it is close to everything, you'll absolutely love your stay.
