RAMSDELL is a wonderful 1850s farmhouse estate on 85 acres. Complete privacy but only 7 minutes to both Main St. Great Barrington and Stockbridge. Country living with town close at hand! Ramsdell had a complete gut renovation in 2022, and is chic and comfortable.
The home boasts 6 bedrooms and 5 1/2 baths. A massive dining room table seats 12. Breakfast porch seats 8. Large eat in kitchen with all amenities and full butler’s pantry with 2nd sink and dishwasher. Downstairs den has a convertible couch for extra guests with full bath and piano. Handsome home office, laundry room, mud room, glassed in front porch and fenced front yard. Whimsical and charming, with a wood burning fireplace and cozy couches, plus upstairs balcony. All beds have high end mattress. Kids books, highchair, crib.
Outdoors there is a beautiful patio with an outdoor kitchen, next to the babbling brook with a stone bridge, firepit and rolling lawns and pond, as well as miles of trails leading into the Monument Mountain trail system right from the backyard! Giant out building would be perfect artist’s studio.
Walking distance to the famed Taft Farms for wine, local produce, prepared foods, pies, sandwiches and beautiful plants.
