The property was very clean.We did enjoy this stay, but some small things would've made it better. For example, a mirror in the bedroom would be nice and some coasters for drinks and a small table and chairs would be ideal, because there's nowhere to sit and put on your makeup or write or eat a meal.But overall a positive experience and a very nice hostess.

A great place to stay in the West End and perfect for a pet barely 2 blocks fromHanes Park with walking trails for the dog to stretch her legs. Very walkable to several West End cafes/bars (like the Remedy and the Tap Room) as well as to many great options on 4th St. (Moselle’s, Bernadine’s, Joyner’s Lounge. Very comfortable on aQuiet street in a beautiful, historic neighborhood. Our host )Shamonda) met us for checks in and showed us around; she even left a bottle of wine for us to enjoy. We plan to go back there again!

The host went out of her way to be accommodating! She made my stay so easy- exceptional to be exact. Even called to confirm I had arrived and that all was good in the apartment. Great neighborhood - close to wonderful restaurants. Bed was comfortable and 2 big televisions. Full size refrigerator with ice maker made drinks in the evening easy. I will definitely be coming back. Don’t miss this gem if you are coming to Winston-Salem.

Perfect location, easy walk or drive to everything! Loved having the park so close by and so much to do and see. I was met by the hostess upon arrival and was handed the keys and given a tour of the property. The accommodations were very pleasant, clean and well equipped. The West End neighborhood is lovely and full of history and charm. I definitely plan on staying again. My pup and I had a wonderful time!

Great communication, pet-friendly, easy to get in, parking wasn't an issue on the street, area felt very safe and quiet. Only critique I have is there was a faint smell of smoke in the living room - I'm not sure if people are allowed to smoke inside because the listing says smoking allowed in "designated areas" but regardless it was something we noticed because we were traveling with an infant. Otherwise have nothing bad to say about this apartment.

I'm glad that you and your family felt secure and comfortable, but I apologize for the smoke smell. While smoking is strictly outdoor-only, the policy isn’t always followed as it should be. All air filters are being upgraded and replaced to address this, and it is very likely the smoking policy will be changed entirely to prevent any future issues for guests. It was a most comfortable place with everything we needed. Location is excellent. Be sure to go to Louie & Honey (walkable) for their cinnamon rolls. Host went above and beyond and always responded to any questions. I definitely will stay there again.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATIONMy Westie and I so enjoyed our stay. We loved the park and close restaurant's which I could walk to. The floors are gorgeous , the couch and bed were comfortable. The neighborhood is walkable with old huge trees and charming historic homes. Nice charming place to stay!

Firstly, the host is excellent with communication. The condo is comfy, and the kitchen is a great little space. The hot water seems pretty instantaneous and plentiful with great pressure, I am a little jealous in comparison to home!That said, the listing is a little misleading. It is not very accessible if you are mobility challenged. There is no way even a standard wheelchair would fit through half of the doors, much less be able to navigate the bathroom or kitchen. There would be no way to transfer onto the toilet from a chair, if one needed to, and the toilet isn't comfort height. The road for on street parking is incredibly steep and there are 2 eight step exterior flights of stairs before you even reach those 4 easy to navigate steps shown in the photo. That said, both the bed and the sofa are a good height to get up from. Also, if you have respiratory or allergy issues there is a lingering odor of cigarette smoke. I have no idea if it's in the walls or coming from another condo but it's there.All in all despite the challenges the property gave me, (and I must have looked hysterical getting up and down those stairs) I would absolutely recommend this stay for those without respiratory, spinal or other mobility issues. It is a well apointed space in a fantastic location.

My stay was really bad/horrible I had to drive down from Virginia in the snow storm because the host wouldn’t refund my money back not only did it take me 4 hours to get to winston-Salem North Carolina but when I got there it was no where to park because of the snow had turned into ice. Also the room is not how the picture made it out to look it’s cracking an peeling paint every where in the place

This little place was wonderful. The location is amazing. We walked around the beautiful neighborhood , Hanes Park, and downtown. You are within 10 minute car ride to just about anywhere . The apartment was spotlees. Very clean with ample amenities. The host is very accommodating and available to reach if you need something. She met us at the property when we arrived at 9:30 pm! We will most certainly stay here again when back in Winston. I highly recommend the West End Whisper!

Our host was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The accommodations would be wonderful for a younger couple. Clean and tasteful. Nice apps on the tv. An upscale near-downtown neighborhood. It didn’t work as well for this 70 couple and their handicapped niece plus little terrier. Getting up and down the steps with all of our stuff was difficult. We would’ve liked a table to eat at other than the coffee table. And there weren’t enough bowls, glasses and utensils for the three of us. Otherwise this place was absolutely fine but it just didn’t meet our personal needs.
