About this property
Beautifully maintained, 1905 original lakefront summer home – super pet friendly
TCV is a lakeside family summer home which welcomes everybody: one of the first few cabins ever built on Watchic Lake in 1905, it is original, rustic and beautifully maintained.
House is spacious, on 2 levels with cathedral ceiling. First floor, covered porches, dock and first floor bathroom are fully wheelchair accessible including the fabulous outdoor wheel-in shower with shower chair provided. Comfortably sleeps 12 in 4 upstairs bedrooms + single clot which can go anywhere.
2025 summer rentals go Saturday to Saturday, 3 PM check-in, 10 AM check out: available July 19 to 26, August 2 to 9 and August 9 to 16; 3500 per week including $500 returnable damage deposit and $300 cleaning fee.
Watchic is a clean, uncrowded lake, shore is rocky, frontage is sandy bottomed and safe for children, with stunning sunsets which can be enjoyed from the screened dining porch, lakeside covered porch, from the dock or while paddling the canoe, pedaling the pedal boat or gliding along in the kayak.
Grounds are partly wooded, partly grassy, spacious, private with a securely fenced dog yard attached to kitchen door; superb outdoor campfire pit, propane grill, picnic table with lots of seating.
Children can enjoy the swim float, fishing and snorkeling equipment, badminton, croquet and loads of different toys some of which date from our childhood in the 60s.
If you choose to explore surrounding towns you will find all of the most charming New England restaurants, cafés and shopping opportunities: everything is within easy driving distance. Our beloved TCV is only 20 miles from the coast so if you'd like to spend the day at Old Orchard Beach where there is an amusement park or Scarborough Beach for splashing about in Atlantic waves, both are within easy reach.
