We loved this cottage in Cashiers, and we will definitely be back! Stacy was an excellent host, and the cottage is super clean and has so many nice extra amenities. The furnishings and decor are beautiful, and the beds were very comfortable. Every detail has been thought of here, it's like staying in a luxury hotel!

This cottage is an amazing place to stay. Though small, it is very high end, extremely well decorated and had every comfort needed to ensure a fabulous visit. It's very close to Cashiers yet private and peaceful. As a former VRBO property owner and now as a frequent VRBO renter I am picky so I can honestly say that this is a 5 star experience for sure. Will definitely be back!

Such a cute and cozy spot. Perfect for one couple or 2- or a small family. Really comfortable beds, fluffy Peacock Alley towels in the bathroom, really beautifully decorated. The Kitchen has all you need to cook dinner in, but walking distance to Buck’s coffee and Cashier’s Farmers Market too and a short drive to restaurants and shopping. Feels very secluded but it’s right in town. Fire pit, front porch, nice TVs for football. Stacy, the owner, was so gracious with recommendations, and a late check out today. We will definitely stay there again- it was just perfect for a quiet weekend away from Atlanta- thank you!

Stacy was nothing but ABSOLUTELY THE BEST OF the BEST of host! I have stayed at numerous Vrbo’s, etc & not one has topped the impressive thought in which Stacy has put in to this charming cottage! Not one thing has been left un thought of. The cottage is so welcoming with heated bathroom floors, a giant soaking tub in the master, beautiful designer bedding & drapery, a ironing station, fine soaps, top of the line appliances (enjoy the washer & dryer!) & even a generator. I enjoyed the old quiet cottage lined neighborhood, getting to know the neighbors during my month plus stay & the peaceful small lake. Quiet morning walks were fabulous. The fire pit & chairs are a great touch just to the side of the house as well & what a great wrap around porch. It felt very private as it sits up slightly from the road. It has wonderful lighting, just enough but is also shaded so you aren’t blasted by heat or blaring sun. She certainly goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome & at home. Stacy made each bedroom cozy beyond. What wonderful sleep I had in the master bedroom! My favorite part is that there are touches of her personal artwork throughout the house which may be always changing but it was hard not to purchase & take with me the textile art in the guest room. Stacy was always a text away & I can certainly say I not only know a fabulous place that feels like home shall I need one again in between moves in the Highlands/ Cashiers area but I have a new friend as well.

Why they chose this property

Lancewood is home to over 60 cabins/cottages and larger homes. Most homes are within walking distance to our charming town of Cashiers. The neighborhood is quiet and offers walking trails and two waterfalls and a small lake. In the 1800's Lancewood was a gold mine. People would come mine for gold and take their treasures to the crossroads to receive their "cash".."Cashiers" In the 1940's Lancewood became a summer camp. Green Cedar Cottage is one of the original cottages still remaining today. Lancewood also featured two homes in this years Joy Garden Tour!
