About this property
Dog-friendly 6+BD Downtown House Walk to Beach Boardwalk!
Summary:
Welcome to your dream escape in the heart of historic downtown Santa Cruz. This spacious and stylish two-story dog-friendly home is designed with families and groups in mind, offering the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and coastal charm. Located just a short walk from the iconic Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, sandy shores, and the city’s best restaurants, bars, and cafés.
The Space:
The house has 7 bedrooms (6 queen sized mattresses, 1 twin), 3 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, a dining area downstairs and a cozy living room upstairs with a large TV.
The downstairs front room leading to the foyer offers access to upstairs via a door that can be left open during the day.
For privacy, if someone is sleeping in the front room, the door can be locked, and guests staying upstairs can still enter the lower part of the house via the side door entrance.
Dog allowed with property manager approval and the payment of a $50 non-refundable pet fee.
Please note that there is no dishwasher in this home.
Recycling Guidelines:
Santa Cruz enforces strict recycling rules. The blue bin is for recyclables only—detailed instructions are posted on it.
Pizza boxes and any food-contaminated items must go in the trash, as contamination can lead to fines.
Please do not bag recyclables - just put them directly in the dedicated bin. The city will not collect recyclable items if they are bagged.
You are on vacation! We do NOT expect you to handle laundry, make the beds, or perform any major cleaning tasks. Our professional housekeeping team is here to ensure everything is in perfect order for your stay.
Neighborhood & Noise:
Our home is situated in a quiet, residential neighborhood with families and students as neighbors.
Gatherings with the registered guests on your reservation are welcome, but loud parties and amplified music are not acceptable.
Quiet time begins at 10 PM; if the group is noisy, you must come indoors.
Neighbor complaints put our ability to host at risk and may result in immediate eviction.
No candles, please! This is for your safety and that of the property.
Guest Access:
The driveway fits two cars.
We will loan you two red street parking permits, which allow you to park in permitted street parking areas downtown as well as at parking meters marked with a red “P.” These permits are extremely valuable and must be returned at check-out. If a permit is lost or taken out of town, there will be a $100 replacement fee.
A portable crib is available upon request.

The Neighborhood:
My spacious downtown art filled vacation house is great for any occasion! Spend a few days at the beach with your family, go hiking in the beautiful local redwood forests, or ride the Giant Dipper and enjoy a funnel cake at the Boardwalk. If the season is right, you can see the Monarch butterflies nest at Natural Bridges State Park. You can get a seafood dinner with an ocean view on the wharf, take a stroll down the beautiful backdrop of West Cliff Drive, or if you would just like to enjoy some peace and quiet in a serene environment-- you've come to the right place! Walk to the farmers market on Wednesdays and make yourself a gourmet meal in the large fully equipped kitchen. Everything we mentioned is in walking distance, you won't even need to rent a car! The home is located in the heart of downtown Santa Cruz, but you wouldn't even know it! So peaceful and serene, it is extremely quiet, so much so, that if you listen hard enough you can sometimes hear the elephant seals far off in the distance, or the rustling of leaves from the cool ocean breeze.
Getting Around:
Walking and biking are the best ways to appreciate the Santa Cruz scenery. However, car rental services are available. There is a bus station on nearby Pacific Ave. but there are many bus stops closer to your home away from home. The Metro Bus Station is where both local buses and Greyhound buses depart from, both in short walking distance. The Santa Cruz Trolley loops around Pacific Ave. and goes to the wharf and Boardwalk for only 25 cents! You can rent Segway scooters down the street from the Boardwalk to use in that area. Information regarding rental services will be included in our information pamphlet, or emailed upon request.
We have a driveway which can fit two cars. We also provide two parking permits which you may borrow during your stay, for parking on our street only. These must be returned upon check out as we rely on them for our guests and cannot be replaced.
We are always available to answer any of your getting-around questions or to give directions. The Santa Cruz Information booth on Pacific Ave. is very informative and helpful as well.
Other Things to Note:
The kitchen is stocked with basic spices, oils, salt, pepper, etc.
Plenty of extra towels, blankets, and pillows are provided for your comfort.
Cuisinart coffee maker with Peet’s coffee or other premium coffee options.
Assortment of black and herbal teas available.
A propane BBQ is available for use. If you’d like to use it, please let us know in advance so we can ensure the propane tank is full.
We allow well-behaved dogs with an additional $100 pet fee.
Before booking, you must inform us if you are bringing a pet.
By making a reservation, you agree to: paying the pet fee, cleaning up after your pet (defecation & pet dander), ensuring your pet is well-bathed to avoid lingering odors
Excessive pet-related cleaning may result in additional fees. If a pet is brought without prior notice, and we find evidence of it, we will request the pet fee through the Airbnb Resolution Center.
Thank you for understanding and helping us maintain a clean and welcoming space! 😊
